Hi all. I was thinking of a faster way to combine the flavoring, and PG and VG. I don't use nic.

Right now I have various syringes, and I extract the flavoring and PG and VG, and inject it all into a bottle that I can shake. Well, I was thinking about a measuring funnel, something like this:

Squibb Pear Shaped Separatory Funnel - 125ml w/ Volume Graduations & PTFE Stopcock: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific

If you had that all set up, you could simply dump in your liquids, straight out of the container, without having to measure. You'd see 1ml of flavor go in, then add your 4ml of pg and 4ml of VG. And you just watch the liquids rise to the correct line. Then turn the valve, and it all goes into the bottle below. Then you toss that bottle into the rock tumbler.

The time saving part being, that you don't have to use the syringes and deal with that mess. You just dump the liquid straight out of each bottle. I'm looking for a faster, cleaner way to mix. Thoughts? Opinions?

I personally don't see a separatory funnel being easier to use than a graduated cylinder, and it's probably a fair bit more expensive. Sounds like the right size graduated cylinder, with the right graduations for your batches, might be an option.

You can probably imitate the separatory funnel somewhat by using a syringe large enough to easily pour into, with the plunger removed, and get a luer shutoff valve to attach to the tip.

Making larger batches that you can dispense into smaller bottles as needed is something that I find myself doing these days.

Combine the use of the graduated cylinder with a decent digital scale, convert the needed amounts to weight (the specific gravity of each ingredient is available on these forums) and you are close to the simplest method - I think. A decent (useable) digital scale is available on ebay ranging from about $10.00 t0 $20.00 for 500 grams at .01g increments. Yes, one can spend a few hundred for this is one wants.

I'm awaiting this one to arrive tomorrow (no mail today):

Yeah I just want to be able to dump with no syringes, so a graduated or volumetric cylinder might be great. I want to make batches that are at least 100ml, perhaps even 200ml depending on how things go. I'm a chain vaper so 100ml is only about a week's worth. Plus I'd like to have a lot on hand, just steeping somewhere. That way when I finally get to it, it tastes the best it possibly can.

Where is a good place to buy the bottles in various sizes? To use in filling up your various tanks on your various rba's.

I have one of these, and it's great. It even has a little pour spout. I think you can get them up to 2000 mls.

The item you're looking at is awesome, but I think it might be difficult to clean and store, imo.

I own these same ones too but they are collecting dust since I got my scale. Mixing by weight is the easiest way to mix and the cleanest.

1. Get a Scale w/ 0.01g calculations or lower
2. Put all your flavors and bases into dropper bottles
3. Use a e-juice calculator that has gram measurements
4. Mix your recipe
5. put caps and droppers back on bottles.

No syringes, beakers, cylinders or anything else to clean!!

I actually do have my eye on one. I just have to find other uses for these past purchases before moving on.

I'm looking for a single solution, if at all possible. There may not be, short of buying that funnel thing. I've noticed that some of the liquid has a tendency to stay behind in the containers, and be difficult to get out. Sticking to the walls and such. At which point its best to just leave it in there for use when mixing the next batch. The more containers you mix with, the more overall liquid is going to be left out and the less accurate your mixture will be, in the end. But if you just do it all in one, at least you've only got a smaller amount of liquid clinging to the sides and the bottom, instead of having it do it in 3 different containers.

I may just mix everything in a single graduated or volumetric cylinder in the end. Looking to minimize the amount of containers used.
