I guess that answers my question whether i should buy one or not. What kind of battery were you using? Can you tell where it started burning at? Maybe it shorted out on the case.

What kind of battery? Which component burned? Did you have the 'turns on by itself' issue prior to this? Specifically, which model, from where? How long have you had it? Was there any moisture present?

Glad you're ok man! This makes me wanna run home and pull the batteries from EVERYTHING.

I've seen on fasttech forums that it's the Hotcig V3 (no seam on top, adjustable center pin, hole to display charge indicator) has a 6 month warranty. I think there is no reverse batt protection, right? Hopefully you didn't get batt in backwards. Mine just shipped out today, Yea.
