I was thinking about getting a Hana dna 30 clone. fasttech actually has 3 versions of this:

#1. 18650 battery not included $ 49.00

#2. 18650 battery included $ 52.38

#3. Built-In dual 600mAh batteries (1200mAh total) $ 52.38

Looking at #1 and #2 above, these appear to be the same unit, except for an extra $3.38 they include the 18650 battery in #2. That's pretty cheap for a battery, but the deal is ... Is this battery that's included in #2 any good (maybe just a cheap generic battery)?

Now for #3 ... The web page for this one does not mention the word "Mini", but the overall length and width is slightly smaller than #1 and #2. Another thing about #3 ... It comes with built-in double 600mAh Li-Po batteries for a total of 1200mAh. That 1200mAh is much lower than the mAh of your typical 18650 battery, so the operating life of this when fully charged is going to be much shorter.

I just wonder if the units that use a 18650 battery might be better than that unit that has built-in batteries?

Here is the link for #3 with the built-in batteries ... Is this what would be called the "Mini" clone? $52.38 HANA MODZ Pack DNA 30 Style Mod - built-in 2*600mAh Li-Po / 7W-30W at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

I have no idea who makes these Hana clones for FastTech. Do you think there might be a better clone (made by someone else) available from a different vendor, or is the FastTech a pretty good Hana 30 clone?

Thanks,

The FT versions get great reviews and i would definitely go with one of them over the Cana = Cloupor (C stands for Cloupor) . The link you show, i believe is for the Mini which is great and has easy snap in snap out connectors for the LiPo packs.

The LiPo mini's will last a very long time before needing replacement but the larger V3 version 18650 versions are excellent as well , all functions work great and the battery it comes with is quality (despite what some say) .

Warranty can't be beat , very long and even after warranty ends FT will still get it fixed for a fee.

herb ... I just knew someone here would have an opinion of the FastTech vs Cloupor DNA 30 clones ... thanks for chiming in

Well, the Cloupor is about 20 bucks more than the FastTech version. As for the 18650 batteries, I already have a bunch of Efest IMR18650 (red) batteries, so if I order one of these through Fasttech, I guess I will just order the cheaper one without the 18650 battery.

I still am looking at that smaller version that comes with the (2ea) built-in 600 mAh batteries ... The thing is, that's only 1200 mAh, while my Efest IMR18650 battery is 2000 mAh

I just don't know which one of those would be the most dependable?

No way i would go with Cloupor , i have one and my friends have a bunch of FT minis and full size and they eat the Cloupor alive in every way.

You can decide for yourself , buy them and use them , you have 6 months to check them out for yourself , if you don't like it you can return it , can't beat that.

Here just one thread on it

One thing to keep in mind is the early Dna FT clones got bad reviews , don't get those mixed up with the latest models , they are completely different animals.
