thinking about buying a mechanical mod from fast tech cant decide if i should. id buy a battery and charger from a better site. just wonder what could go wrong with buying a mod from fast tech

A lot of things can go wrong. If you buy from another site, the same things can also go wrong. If you go to a shop it can... Well, you get the point. :D

There's a bunch of threads here on fasttech with both good and bad reviews. I'm looking at getting some stuff from them but not anything that I need urgently due to the fact that one of the issues seems to be shipping time and I already have quite a wait in that arena. Batteries is something that I'll stay away from with them as well - lot of negative comments on those.

I'm really tempted to buy a nemesis clone from Fasttech. Anyone know what the quality of this mod is? I know it's only 20 dollars but i dont want to wait 8 days and get something that doesn't even work. The sad thing is is batteries cant be shipped via usps or any other postal service but Phillipines Air and thatd take over a month to get to where i live so thats not an option but I'm interested on the quality of these vapes and what experiences you guys have with tanks/RDAs/RBAs from Fasttech.

I've bought This nemesis clone version from fasttech, and I am a bit dis-pleased. I even got a few magnets for it and a kick. Well, the nemesis kicked is very iffy, the locking ring gets tuck, and the switch had to be sanded down. After all that, everything worked fine except for the locking ring. It takes a few turns to lock...but that's not a manufacturing issue, it's just a design flaw of the nemesis itself.

one of the mods I absoulutely love, is one of their caravella clones. This thing hits hard and has been a solid performer. It's one of my main mods.
Another highly recommended device is the Fogger V4. Think of it like a dual coil Kayfun with a glass tank.

All in all, it's a hit or miss with Fasttech. Just read all the reviews and base your decision on what others say. As far as their business practice, they are a reliable reseller. Just keep in mind, they resell, not manufacture them. It would be like complaining to a walmart associate about how you don't like something they sell.. they might refund or exchange the item, but they just sell them. Some good, some bad, but they sell them. Any RMAs are handled as best they can, seeing as how they're across the globe.

I bought a M16 Sentinel Clone from FT for something like $10.49 and it's way nicer than my "name brand" clone of the Tree of Life. Some stuff on Fasttech is awesome, some is junk. Read the reviews and the discussions. My Hana Modz Mini clone is amazing.

If you order from FT, always read the reviews carefully. If it has lots of good reviews, you're almost sure to be safe. No reviews? Pass. Bad reviews? Run away. "Ships in 5 days"? Be prepared for a long wait. "In Stock" or "Ships Next Day" and you should be good. E-packets are taking about a week to a week and a half.
Good luck. :D

That's a shame because i really wanted a nemesis with a patriot RDA because i hear it performs well and they match perfectly. Maybe one of the other nemesis clones are a bit better considering there are like 15 different ones?

It could be, but the overall design of the Nemesis, it has small thin threading... this is true of a real Nemesis. I am probably going against the grian in saying that the whole nemesis concept is flawed. I believe it's button mechanism is overly complicated and overall big. The whole idea, is to have a selectable throw, be forgiving with the battery type, be able to have magnets as springs, and be able to use a kick. Granted, it can do all of those, but to remove the button to make changes requires some time. if you are trying to adjust it, i requires a lot of screwing and unscrewing... and those threads are so annoying. Also, the locking ring sticking in either the on or off position is what really has made it shelved in my opinion. A smooth locking ring that fits flush with the mod means you cannot get a tight grip on it. When you do loosen it, it takes some screwing with those tight threads. If you were driving in a car, and wanted to sit it down, it reqires some work. I've tried leaving it unlocked, but since the whole bottom part is the firing button, it can easily cause it to misfire.. which I have had it happen more than once for an extended period of time. It's definately not a mod I would vape with while driving.

As far as the build quality, after a bit of sanding , it is a good clone. I did try to remedy the locking ring by spraying a rubber coating on the lockign ring.. that helped quite a bit, but still eventually gets stuck in the lock or unlocked position. It just seems like I do more fiddling with the mod than vaping with this design.

I've been looking at fast tech too
From what I can see the clones I liked people are happy with that didn't cost much more where made by Infinite and Hcigar.
I've been doing lot's of online window shopping:
ebay seller linensurplus from had really good prices on infinite stingrays & RDA
diamondvapes in California for stingrays & nemesis clones, ehpro kayfuns RBA plus they have free shipping & free Tobeco Omega RDA if you spend $60 or more

Bought these on ebay
D2 Digicharger from seller brightmall-com and got it 3 days
ordered legit sony vct5 batteries from seller avetradingco they showed up in 3 days and were under $20 shipped
legit aspire mini from ebay seller vapenw $25 and now they're cheaper

hope that helped there's some good prices state side

I still might order a fast tech mod however it's not going to be something I plan on functioning perfect

I recently bought an authentic Magneto for them (checked the serial code on smoktech site) , they also sell authentic innokin and kanger .

FT by itself is fine , you just need to make sure you get the good stuff ,
by the way do not be surprised if your vendors are buying stuff from FT and then sell it for 50-100% profit .

My experiences:

Not recommended: Nemesis Style Mechanical Mod (Mixed Edition)
Too many parts. Bad build quality. "Beauty rings" between the tubes don't fit if you swap them between the tubes.Gold plating comes off within a few days. Crunchy switch, even after upgrading with magnets. Battery adjustment pin needs to be adjusted all the time. Locking ring gets stuck all the time. The whole thing feels flimsy and I'm always worried that something or another will screw loose.

Recommended: Mixed Stingray Style Mechanical Mod
Fewer parts. Better build quality. Decent switch. Feels somewhat solid in the hand.

I finally decided to give them a shot. My order shows it shipped today.. I did not order any type of batteries this time so hopefully it will be a quick and easy transaction. lol

My order that shipped on the 2nd arrived on the 14th and one that shipped on the 5th arrived on the 12th. I can live with that.
