Fasttechs Kanger OCC Coil Clones

Well I ordered some originals and thought why not spring for the 10 pack of clones.

1st coil - fit correctly (barely with tough threading down to close tank) but was a dud and would not fire
2nd coil - chimney opening not properly milled and about broke my subtank plus V2 try to thread it together
Stopped there and emailed them, I am sure they will take care of it but just a PSA on my experience thus far.

These also have the white colored tips on the bottom vs. the Kanger Red. I really wanted these to work. So when you see them loose on Ebay with white tips I would be cautious (I know there are originals with white tips, perhaps 1st release batches).

I think that those are meant for use in their cloned Subtank, not the original.

I got a 10 pack first 2 I tried no airflow at all pulled the cotton out and re wicked bette

Perhaps and I have a clone that will be here any day. I did not toss the 3 that failed from the 1st 10. You can definitely see difference is in how the coils are wound also (not as tight, 1 less turn it looks). All in all though there are probably 1 clone owner to 500 original owners and no one is advertising "for your clone" so the PSA is what it is.

I will update if I have any luck with the clone etc.

What was the SKU? There are "Authentic" OCC coils on FT, and that usually means just that.

i have purchased both the "authentic" kanger occ coils from FT and the clone coils- i have had no problems using either one in my subtank and the subtank+. just my experience and , of course, YMMV. there may be a bad batch in either one to account for the failures but real or clone you pays your money and takes your chances-seems to me it has always been that way. welcome to the world of vaping....

I got some as well they were super cheap but none of them were any good terrible airflow, but they are easy to break down and rebuild so not a total loss. I got their arctic knock offs as well they sucked too gonna rebuild those as well but they are a little more difficult but doable.

I ordered 50 originals yesterday. Writing off the clones for desperation use only.

HOWEVER: I got my clone Subtank Plus in (no RBA) and I after I ditched the same junk coil that my thread talks about the tank was fine. I almost would say the tank is OG and they just put a junk coil in it without box and RBA to hit the price point. Just a theory.

Anyway I tested the coils that I started my thread with in this tank and still had the chimney issue i.e. the coils themselves are miss-drilled in some way (perhaps a little crooked). So it's not a clone tank needing clone coils kind of thing. To be clear this is not all of them that have this issue. Most of them are just dead or spits or no flow etc.

I also purchased a ten pack (2 five packs really) and the first 2 had airflow issues as well. I still have 15 authentic coils, so I'm not stressing it. Guess that's FT for you.
