We get a comedy show in the UK and Ireland called Father Ted, do any other countries show it?

It's about Irish priests and their housekeeper, Mrs Doyle, it's really funny.

I like the speed lampoon episode with mista burgess from the snapper playing the milkman and also the one where he has to explain that he is not a racist to the craggy island asian community. ha ha.

it might be in your local library katys. US residents are spoiled for choice from what i saw in some of the libraries i was in. they pretty much had the complete series of any british show out there on dvd and vhs (including Fr Ted) + all the bbc/c4 docs including all of attenboroughs amazing shows. that's not to mention all the movies they have current and old, foreign and domestic. you don't need a blockbuster card in the states - you just head down the library and pick it all up for free. I wish it was the same here.

also i know Fr Ted is a cult favourite among some in the know stateside along with Red Dwarf and many others.

Kate, Father Ted has been on the local PBS (Public Broadcasting) station for years here in Dallas. One of the most outrageous British imports along with Mr. Bean. I have seen all the available episodes many times & always get a laugh. In Dallas the weekend nights are devoted to British comedy on PBS & we get quite a few. Dallas was the first in US to show Monty Python. The current crop are "Are you being served", "As time goes bye", "Red Dwarf", "Keeping up appearances" along with some Aussie & Canadian comedies. Pretty worldly for a bunch of Texas hicks

A truly excellent show.

Its one of the most hilarious and original shows ever produced in my oppinion. Its a damn shame that Dermot Morgan who played Ted died of a heart attack after filming the final episode. It was at the party to celebrate finishing filming.

This had 2 more series in it at least. Magical TV.

I have seen every episode!! Funny funny show. In my mind it is rivalled only by Black Adder, which I started watching when I was about 13

I had an ex girlfriend that introduced me to the show. It has to be one of the funniest sitcoms i've ever seen..I guess she was good for something lol..Didn't the guy that played father ted die of a coke overdose or something? such a shame he was perfect for the part.

I must somehow get a photo of my Doctor as he is the exact spitting image, including hairstyle, voice and true Irish accent of Father Dougal! It is like being in the same room, he is the absolute double!!
