Faux Filter?

faux, french for "fake" - looks like a typical cigarette filter, I believe the typical orange-brownish color with lighter flecks on it. Someone posted a pic not too long ago of one, will see if I can find it

I got a couple boxes of these to denote my 'analog replacement' flavor... They're orange with peach/tan splotches. Up close, they look nothing like an analog filter, but from a distance on a white battery, it would look almost exactly like a cigarette.
I ordered blanks in black (to match my black battery... duh!) and they sent me faux because they were out of black. Not the biggest bummer in the world, but seriously these look ridiculous. Couldn't they have just sent an email and asked me my second choice?
Same happened to a co-worker who ordered in Black, he said would have maybe selected something other than the Faux.

Maybe faux is the least popular and they have a ton of them sitting in back stock?
I feel ya. Waited an extra long time for the silver ones I ordered and when they finally showed up, they were the white ones. I hate the white ones!
So I removed the stickers, used Goo Gone to clean them up and presto! Silver cartos!
They work exactly the same. I use a Delrin Drip Tip with them so I don't get any extra heat.
I just vaped and touched it and I did notice that does feel hotter to the touch without the sticker.
But it looks cool as heck though!
I LOOOVE taking the stickers off. Someone else had posted about naked coolcarts - works like a charm, and looks pretty smooth. The bare metal cart matches the gun metal platinum batts perfectly (seems to be the exact same metal/finish - so "gun metal platinum" may just be a very fancy way of saying "what we're already using for the cartos" - heheh)
I notice only a little more heat coming through the sides, but I also use the CoolCarts - the premiums might get much hotter, idunno. I wouldn't recommend removing stickers if you vape hands-free on an automatic - gripping bare metal with your teeth isn't too comfortable
Oh, and as far as making substitutions without checking first - yeah, happened to me as well. I just contacted Mark, and he took care of it. My problem was that I was specifically trying to replace my wife's Leopard print case (which she said she didn't like) with a new Zebra case, and they substituted it with... another leopard... Also subbed in premiums instead of the coolcarts I'd ordered. No bueno. Mark took care of it IMMEDIATELY - was really cool about it too, I must say! Making a switch without checking with the customer is risky - certainly an understandable practice if your goal is to keep order processing time low, but in a case like mine, you do run the risk of costing yourself on shipping and additional merchandise (as well as sacrificing customer experience a bit). I'd say if its a substitution that really makes you unhappy, at the very least, let them know about it. Sounds like its happening a lot lately, who knows if the higher-ups are even aware
