AW 1600mah 24amps. They perform better from 4.0 down to 3.7 range.

When mine drops between 3.75 and 3.70... they go on the charger. Coil performance will be affected as the voltage drops. A lot of single coil folks can tell the difference, and usually set their coils at the 1.0ohm, 1.1ohm, and 1.2ohm range to accommodate the dropage.

Apparently I have to order some 1600s. I have 2200s that I like a lot. My usual build is .5 ohm and a charge will last me to night time but I probably only go through ~3mL a day on average.

Wow, 3ml with a .5ohm build. I do that in a couple of hours some days. Wish I could get that kind of gas mileage.

ETA: Oh, and +1more for the 1600's

The 2200mah have a 20amp capability. So I'd recommend them as well. When you get into 0.35~0.4 ohm range that little extra bit helps.

Got some imren 3000mah 18650 for a regulated mod, was thinking about picking one up for the reo, Super_x warned me about flat tops arcing more though. The imrens say they are 40a continuous, but I bet they're more like 32~35. Gotta test one for heat and arcing. Do not want to try one of them that I have now, it's a married pair for the dual 18650 mod that's coming in. The height is close pretty much to the level of the aw imr nipple for total height.

Rob advised me to dab noalox on every battery if I'm going to be going 0.27~0.35 range. Have seen batteries arcing hard core on the lower builds. Voltage drops as well.

At best, those will be 20A batteries. Hopefully, they're high-capacity though. There just aren't any batteries available that they can rewrap with higher than a 30A rating, or higher than 20A for capacities above 2500mAh.

The 1600 mah Imren seems to be better than the 3000mah, check this link out.

    38amp 18650's

There's some tests on the Imren batteries.

Heres tests on LG's, Samsungs, and some others.

    Thanks for the links!

Ahhh...Torchy! He does some great testing. We've collaborated on a couple of them.
I've done a bit of testing here....see my signature for the links to my blog. Hopefully I'll be able to continue testing and get to the rest of the rewrapped batteries....and 26650's, 18500's, and 18350's.

I have issues with the PVA videos. There are factual errors in the ones I've seen and his tests don't track temperature or how the battery's overall life is affected by being discharged at their rated current level. These omissions are critical for not only establishing safety limits for discharging a battery but also for setting performance limits (making sure the batteries last a long time). These are the basis for the testing I've done here.

Someone has contacted me and is donating three different AW batteries (3000mAh, 2200mAh, and 1600mAh) for testing so I'll be able to do some direct comparisons against other batteries soon. :)
