I like to use a pen style battery when I'm out and about. Just easier to be able to slip it in my pocket. I love my Halo Triton but I've been looking for a suitable ego/510 sub. Any suggestions?
Aspire mini with bvc you can't go wrong! Personally I prefer the areotank mega air control, but flavor in the aspire is a big win! And if you want to sub ohm get the subtank! Those occ are great!

-5 for the subtank mini. For the money, the aspire atlantis 2 is the best tank out there now in my opinion. The Arctic and delta 2 are pretty good too

Joyetech delta 2 is great.

Ahem, the OP is using pen style (eGo class) batteries.

OP, you can't use sub-ohm tanks with eGo class batteries.

Just a reminder. :)

Lol. Noted. I've got a couple basic mods and some RDAs that I use at home. I prefer my juices with 1.5-2.4 coils, so sub-ohm doesn't really appeal to me. Yet. ;)

I've got a Protank 2, an Aspire BCD glass tank, and some cheap plastic tank from Vista Vapors... hate them all. Have a couple T3 tanks that are ok, but are constantly gurgling and flooding, and sometimes taste burnt. I'm gonna replace the heads and mess with the wicks to see if it fixes the problems, and will rebuild it myself if it doesn't. I never have issues with my Triton tanks. They produce good flavor, good vapor, and the coils last me well over a month. They've spoiled me.

Thanks for the suggestions. I don't personally know anyone else who vapes (I'm not gonna count the people I know who use gas station crap ;)) so it's nice to get ideas from people who know what they're talking about.

I hear you. I don't sub-ohm either. I'm a committed tootle puffer myself--moderate airflow, watts in the teens.

Been there done that. You really should consider Eleaf GS Air tanks--inexpensive and work great.

I still like my Aerotanks, though. But my go-to is my GS Air nowadays.

Maybe this will help:

Triton tanks are basically T3s, just like Triton batteries are eGos with a native kr808 connection.

Good luck!

One more thing--just in case. GS Air and Aerotanks are dual coil clearomizers... I'm not sure what kind of pen style batteries you're using; they may not have enough power to run dual coils. You'll need at least 4-4.4v to get a satisfactory vape out of duals.

If your batteries are not powerful enough, consider single coil atties: ProTanks with air control valves (purchased separately) are quite nice.

You may also try these (vertical) coil heads from FT--they are very nice and inexpensive. Work great in my ProTank 2.

For those recommending the Nautilus, protank mini, etc read the following after rereading the opening post.

The triton tank has about a 2.5 ohm coil for anyone who is interested. And the Triton battery is an unregulated standard Ego with 808 center threading. No 510 connection so a Nautilus will not work unless you buy the triton - Ego adapter from Halo. Otherwise you are stuck with 808 threaded hardware or the special Triton tank which is basically a T2 with special base for Triton.

I did--twice.

Raina said: "I love my Halo Triton but I've been looking for a suitable ego/510 sub. Any suggestions?" So, if I understand it correctly, she's looking for a Triton-style clearo with an eGo/510 native connection... Technically, a 510/eGo 1:1 substitute for a Triton (kr 808) tank would be Kanger T2, T3(s), or Evod.

Anyway, we still don't know what kind of battery (eGo/510) threaded she's got. :D

ETA: Raina, what kind of 510/eGo pen style battery are you using?

Now I'm totally confused.

She can get an adapter from Halo for her Triton that allows her to use Ego/510 tanks on it. $5 for one, I got one a week ago.

A triton style clearo would be a T2 which is what the triton clearos I have seen are with a different base for the triton battery.
So yes an older top coil Nautilus would be a match.

Or have they come out with a BCC for the triton I missed?

I've got a cheap ego from Vista Vapors. Threw it in a juice order. I've also got an x6 and a vamo that I use at home but don't typically carry around with me.

OK, cheap eGo (3.3 v regulated) can only be used with LR single coil atties--1.5 and 1.8Ω Evods, T3s and ProTank mini.

You need at least 4-4.4v to power dual coil atties like Aerotanks, GS Air etc.

Good luck!

The transition may be easiest if you simply add some Knger T2's to your vaping arsenal. They are on sale for far less than triton tanks at litecigusa.net Kanger T2 ecig clearomizer for ego batteries and they perform very well for me. They remain one of the easiest to use and fill, smooth hitting vapes I have found. Of course, they will use the triton heads too. Good luck finding your sweet spot!
