I think that most can see the writing on the wall. There are no all out bans and restrictions YET, but between the negative press vaping is getting in the media as well as the states that have already begun SEVERELY restricting vaping and vape related sales we cannot stand and watch another freedom be regulated and restricted out of existence.

PLEASE, get INVOLVED if you have not done so already!! Lets make this easy, go to Free to Vape ( freetovape.org) and click on the 'TAKE ACTION' button and fill out the info.

"FreeToVape.org will send your entry to the FDA, your Congressional Representative, and your two Congressional Senators. For the FDA, we will be printing out your entry onto paper and hand delivering them directly to their offices. For your Congressman/Senators/the Committee Members - we will directly fax your entry to them in real time. Here is your opportunity to take action!"

Be involved and let your representatives know where you stand. For all of those who have been able to give up smoking, for all those who are no longer poisoned by second hand smoke, and for all of those who simply enjoy vaping; let your voice be heard and tell those that you have elected just how vaping has changed your life and why vaping MUST be protected and defended.

That's all, SoulCatcher out...

The first two questions on the "Take Action" page...

Do you use Electronic Cigarettes?
If so for how long?
Do you or have you smoked traditional tobacco cigarettes?
If so for how long?

... might tend to support one of the FDA's most prominent argument - that ecigs lead to dual use. They might add something like:

Have you quit smoking cigarettes?
If so, for how long?

Great idea! :thumb:

Disclaimer:
There is nothing wrong with dual use in my personal opinion. But I am not the FDA.

Edit:
Do you have to live in the States to help and fill out the form? Please advise.

I don't see a problem with the way the question is asked. There are countless numbers of vapers that still currently smoke and struggle with quitting.

You can clarify whether or not you quit in the comment portion of the petition. As stated in the videos, we now know that the FDA cannot ignore any of the letters or faxes. They must be read. This is why there is a plan to also hand delivery each and every single letter at their doorstep. This is a big deal and all the parties involved want to do this right.

I will let them know about your suggestion though. What I stated is just my personal opinion on the matter.

its really not much of a problem.

because at the bottom you can write about why you chose to vape.
you can sate that you smoked cigs and quite because of vapeing helped you.

yup. Important addition

They might add something like:

Have you quit smoking cigarettes?
If so, for how long?

We are up against very evil people who will try to find fault with anything they can. We have all seen Glands twist the truth in all too many studies. - Remember: they get paid to do these evil things. The nastier, the more money.

It IS important to highlight how the vast majority who have stopped smoking cigarettes, because the statistics are deliberately twisted to hide the fact.

People who vape are routinely counted statistically as NOT having quit. So the fact that they have stopped smoking cigarettes is lost in the statistics.

kentC has a valid point.

It's somewhat mitigated by the very next question:

"How has the use of Electronic Cigarettes impacted your use of Traditional Tobacco Cigarettes?"
Discontinued Use
Reduced Use
No change
Increased Use

But, this doesn't necessarily highlight my situation that flies in the face of the FDA's position on dual-use.... been vaping for 2 years, and quit smoking 2 years ago (e.g. I was never a dual-user, I quit immediately upon converting to e-cigs). The FDA/Congress needs to hear that a lot of us DON'T dual-use and were able to completely quit smoking with e-cigs (and in my case, the ONLY way I was able to quit). I'm afraid the wording on this doesn't quite lend itself to that.

I'm still going to participate, however, because I feel it's important for my voice to be heard anyway.

Not sure if this was just added, but it is addressed:

How has the use of Electronic Cigarettes impacted your use of Traditional Tobacco Cigarettes? (TTC)
Discontinued use of TTC
Reduced use of TTC
No change in the use of TTC
Increased use of TTC

I don't recall it being there when I first looked.

Agreed, but, even in my own household that's misunderstood... my wife (who has never smoked and doesn't understand why anybody would) still feels that I haven't "quit" because I vape.

"smoking" is defined as deliberately inhaling the smoke of burning plant particles. Such as tobacco or those "herbal cigarettes". - If you do not inhale smoke, then you do not smoke. And no ifs and buts about it.

I used to inhale water vapor with chamomille when I had bronchitis. Does that mean "smoking" in your wife's opinion?
