I actually watched the whole 26 minute video, which is far beyond my normal attention span for such things ...

Looked up the presenter, he is Ron Kaufman, the owner of Independence Vapors, a B&M in Pennsylvania. Very well informed and articulate speaker, who calmly and rationally dissects the FDA regulations, with direct quotes and coherent commentary. He focused on the facts and figures, without exaggeration or accusations of hidden agendas, leaving the viewers to form their own opinions ... :thumb:

I like this guy ...

So they are requiring kanthal and wicking materials to be labled "tobacco". This amounts to a government mandated lie.

In my happy place
The question I asked via twitter is: If I took one cotton ball from a bag of pre-deeming cotton balls and used part of it to make a wick, 1) does the entire bag become tobacco or only the one ball? and 2) at what point does this happen? When I take it out of the bag because I intend to make a wick? what happens if I find my cotton and do not use the cotton ball? does it return to being cotton or does it stay tobacco. The FDA is like Rumplestiltskin spinning cotton into tobacco.

    Good questions!
If you bought your cotton balls in a vape shop, they will all be considered tobacco.
I wouldn't try to smoke them tho....

I think it all depends on which FDA liturgy you use.

Clearly, the FDA doesn't just want to be obeyed. They want to be worshiped.

It just makes me want to scream ! I think about all the things this gentleman spoke about everyday. It's a very stressful time for manufactures - or at least the small sized firms. It is a disaster, is what it is. If more gov't officials watched vids like this, I'm sure they would see what the FDA is doing. Like Senator Ron... If he saw this, it would give him even more ammo ! What a sorry bunch of rats Zeller and his fools are !!! Kids are not lighting up premium cigars at a high rate !! First of all they aren't cheap. Cigs maybe, and alcohol for sure... Especially now with all the fun flavors alcohol has distilled in it. Makes me want to scream !!

According to FDA logic, we are all tobacco products.

Soylent Green is tobacco !

This guy explains the regs and it's impact in an extremely professional and well spoken presentation. It really needs more exposure, especially to non-vapers.

Thank you for posting this! It's the best, most succinct explanation of the Deeming Regs I have seen. I plan to share it often.
