I'm not disagreeing with you, but taxes really are important... Most of us have a good bit of disposable income. I dont mind contributing if it means we'll do better as a whole (nation)...

Anyway, enough of that... has something changed recently or are they still fighting? Last I heard, vapers were winning

They won't take the flavoring out or they would have to start regulating alot of stuff. Taxes will be inevitable so look for price increase in about 1-2 years...that will be how long it'll be before they figure out what they are doing. The CASAA is overseeing it and making sure the FDA doesn't try to snowball the industry. Please don't start to panic now. Do you really think they will be able to shut down the internet sales? I don't. Oh I'm sure they will try but the CASAA will fight them to the bone over it.

Well the alternative is that ecigs are "drugs" they get pulled all together...Until some(non mom and pop) company spends a few million and few years testing and getting these approved as "quitting smoking drugs"
Then you could go down to the Doc and get a prescription for your eGo. Or buy it over the counter at drug stores...seen how expensive the Gum is. It would be like that.
Them regulating ecigs as a tobacco product was a Win for us.

Chornbro, The DC Fed Court of Appeals ruled the other day that e-cigs can be regulated as tobacco products. It was a 2 year appeal by NJOY. That is better than what the FDA wanted, they wanted it to be regulated as a medical device and have clinical trials and stop sales and imports until the trials were completed, could have taken years. As a result they will promulagate a rulemaking for compliance, standards, safety and of course taxes!

I understand that they will be looking for anything they can tax, I guess my point is that the e-cig itself does not contain any tobacco product, and not all e-liquids contain nicotine.

The Nic is extracted from tobacco leaves...but shhhhhh again better then the alternative of "drug delivery device". personally I think it's Neither but apparently that wasnt an option with our gov.

unless you're speaking of just the capitol hill region, the words "most" and "disposable income" are not really accurate.

Regulation of E-Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products I believe is what is being discussed at the moment.

Just saying that nicotine dependence and/or vaping is a luxury... if you want to get technical, disposable income is just the amount of money one has left over after paying income taxes...

The only thing I can see them being able to tax is the Nic, so who cares if we have to pay a 6% sales tax, it's on everything else anyway. There not going to be able to put an extra tax on things like Lorranns flavoring I wouldn't think or PG/VG so for all of us that DIY or if you buy premade we have to pay an extra sales tax or a state tax above and beyond, trust me the feds are going to get there end of this one way or another, and there latest decision just sped up there advance.!
