You know with all the FDA stuff and how successful they usually are in getting their way one way or another it makes me kinda worried about buying a lot of stuff that could become useless. I mean seriously if we can't have flavored juice but pipe smokers can have flavored stuff how is that right? I hate the taste of tobacco and I will never smoke menthol so I guess if they get their way then I lose because I won't want to buy and I've paid a lot of money getting where I am. I'm so sad now.

Stormie it is best not to worry, i was kinda sick about it as well when i first came on board. What hairball suggests is great advice, if you are not able to stock up much, start with an extra great mod & nic., when you can add more do. When you first start like me learing how to DIY seems like too much tooo soon but nic. will store fine untill you are ready or are pushed into DIY. That may help with giving you peace of mind, you are not alone. Cheers

I imagine now matter what happens, the FDA won't be able to prevent flavored mixed from being distributed. So venders can't make flavored liquids? Ship the consumer an unflavored bottle of vg/pg nicquid and a seperate container with which to flavor it. Tah da! Not that hard to do. Production costs only go up by a little bit to pay for the extra tiny bottle, but the time to mix and steep is passed on to the consumer.

PVs get ban hammered? Start selling flashlights and a seperate atomizer/caromizer. Tah da! The production costs goes up by the cost of a crappy light bulb.

Venders can get around light stuff like this. It is when niquid becomes banned that there is a problem. Then it is time to start growing your own tobacco and learn how to process it. That is the really difficult DIY.

2 years is the MAX life of unflavored nic and thats keeping it in the freezer. pg/vg can go bad in less time than that . I was just reading up on it . I also have some bottles of premade juice that has a expiration date of 1.5 years . That would be the same for any nic suspended in pg/vg which is all unflavored nic unless your buying some that your not supposed to be buying .

Heres a thread about it too
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/236832-vg-nic-how-long.html

So if they do ban niquid we only got about 2 years of extra vaping until we run out . :(

I hate the FDA (******* dummy association ) lol . The worst part of this is them putting hard working people that make ejuice out of business . So much for fixing the countries unemployment situation .

Im still a noob vaper and I'm honestly scared to mess with all those DIY things.Especially pure nicotine since a small splash on yur skin can make you sick. But I forsee the government stepping in to screw up things for us vapers. So very soon I'm gonna get alot of DYI supplies and very slowly learn how to do it myself. Then stock pile it thereafter.
I know alot of people say DIYing is so simple to do,but for some people we just cant grasp it so easily.

The way I see it, honestly the only thing they could really ban is flavored liquid. And I can think of a few easy work around's for that, juice venders will just sale the flavor concentrates, and a separate website could sale the unflavored nic, used for "organic pest control" or any other thing if they wanted to if they get really stupid with it. Even if they tired to ban PV's, I am sure there could be a ton of work around for that as well. Get a wooden box that holds a battery. Or even get yourself a personal fog machine (wizard stick etc) or just call PV's something else, like tobacco vaporizers (the ones that actually vaporize the tobacco leaf) and get the FDA out for good (but do not change the design) I do not see how they could prevent the sale of other things such as attys, cartos, tanks, etc since they are just simple electronic heating devices that can be used for other purposes as well. We will just have to become smarter and the learning curve would be much harder because there would be the "stated" instructions of use and the actual use.

Also, I am not sure how long nic can last, but Unless it breaks down into something else completely, I would be more then willing to vape "funky" tasting 2-3 year old nic as long as it keeps me from smoking. And, just using my common scene, since some cigars are aged 10+ years, I dont think nic breaks down. Im not a chemist so I could be wrong tho

I don't see how they could ban PV's since, generally, there are just a tube with batteries. It would be like banning flashlights. Or they could just market them room deodorizers or whatever. Just like they banned other equipment for those other smoker types. "Head shops" shut down for about a month and suddenly they were back selling "tobacco pipes". Nothing changed but the label. I think there is too much to it for them to ban PV's and juice.

There's too many ways to get around any regulation. If they are smart, they will allow sales as they are and just require that ingredients be stated and liquids tested randomly to ensure safety and leave it at that.

Hey guys, you wanna know of a real easy way to not have to worry about the FDA banning any of it?

Join CASAA | The Consumer Advocates for Smoke-Free Alternatives Association

It's an organization that fights for our rights. Join it takes less than 5 minutes to do. Then after you join scrape up your loose change and make a small donation to them. Without some sort of funding they can only do so much fighting. Look guys if all of us make a small donation we can ensure that this fight continues. You don't even have to put down your favorite PV to do this or leave the safety and comfort of your own home to continue the fight. This literally could not be easier to do.
