I'm brand-new but just want to say thanks to ALL of you for even having this forum. I've spent
so many years feeling like a dang OUTCAST... hiding it from my own children...slithering behind corners to sneak a smoke .. being banned almost everywhere. I'm just starting out with vaping but it feels so good to discover this HUGE group
of supporters and advice...!
I live in FL but somehow feel like all of you guys are.. right next door!

I'm on day 3 without analogs and plan to make that become a permanent state for me.
Cheers & best wishes to all  !!

Today my day 4 without smokes.. I caved at around 2:00 pm... dragged out last pack of Marlboros and lit one up (gasp). Then was amazed to find it tasted like CRAP!!!! Absolutely awful, I only took 2 puffs and stuffed it out. WOW!!!! I am a 37 year smoker, this has never before happened to me. I kind of feel like I am in " limbo-land"...not 100% committed to vaping but just today realized I will never again be content and happy as a cigarette smoker. I do believe, that am going to make this vaping thing work. Also spoke with our 20 year old son tonight, he used to smoke but quit thank goodness. He says he sometimes feels out of it "outcast" with some of his cigarette-smoking friends, and so I am buying him an e-cigarette with zero nicotine

Good luck and congrats on quitting! In my introduction I posted a bit ago, I just made the switch recently, and the first couple days were rough for me. I did finish my pack of smokes when I switched over, and I tossed out my lighters. So, I can't even try to slip. The co-worker that I'm on the road with is a part-time smoker and I told him in no uncertain terms to NOT give me a smoke if I get the urge, even if I grovel, beg and start crying.

So far, so good. :)

The last full carton of smokes I bought, was one of those places where you roll your own..? I had never tried that before, half the price of a brand-name. (Fun to watch the machine rolling them!.. but truly taste pretty nasty overall) And so... the only cigs I still have around my house are those nasty-tasting, cheapo ones. Which is for sure a good thing for me, right now! :)

That's what happened to me 3 weeks in I took a drag of my moms analog and it tasted awful, well now 2 weeks after that and her and her boyfriend are both vaping. :) Good luck soon you will start to feel healthier you will breath better and that's when you'll know you will never go back at least that's how it was for me :)

Wow. I was messing around and re-discovered this old post, of mine from when I first started vaping in February 2012. It's now 6 months later and so happy to say that I'm still at it and NO GOING BACK! (I haven't ever gone back to the analogues ...and never will) Thank you to all you guys who gave me the encouragement that I needed.

My smoking friends still don't believe me when I tell them, that I actually am enjoying vaping much MORE than smoking..!! But, it's really true.
