Greetings to all!
Apologies in advance for a long post...
I've been using e-cigs for 8 months, reading ECF for 7 months and have been a member for 6...just now submitting my 1st post.

Whenever I come across a post I want to comment on, it's outside the newbie forum. Gotta pay my newbie dues.
Re: carto's / clearo's...etc
I used stardust exclusively for almost 6 months. The only other set-up I'd used was the atty/
tank that came with my ego-t starter kit, which I had ordered online from a place that actually has a shop less than 10 miles from me.
Knowing nothing about e-cigs...period (!) I didn't realize until much later that I had a defective unit: the atty burned-out within a couple of days and so did my battery ~ related or not, dunno.
So, I got off of my lazy .... and drove to the suppliers shop. "Shucks, lady, these don't have a warranty". It was probably user error...(yes, I'm that gullible!)
So, the suggestion was an Ego-C ($52 for the battery, a charger I didn't need and "the most wonderful, best thing ever, new addition to the market / inventory: *drum roll* ~
THE STARDUST!!!! Tah-Dah!
Okay, I think I am among the majority who feel that the standard stardust are not exactly as described above! They are/were frustrating enough to cause me to consider giving up on e-cigs! Leaking, leaking, leaking~Cracking and leaking from the crack~
arriving cracked (seller: 'sorry, we told you before lady: no refunds or exchanges ~ has to be user error") ARGH~ defective seals, missing o-ring gaskets...etc.
As far as I knew, there was not much else to choose from. I definitely didn't want to go back to the atty/tank set-up!
I was literally ordering 8-10 stardust / week (at their price of $5.99 ea PLUS s&h Plus Tax...it would have been less expensive to continue with stink sticks!) Not to mention the cost of e-juice: the little bit I vaped, plus the vast majority of it, which dripped down my battery or was tossed along with the broken stardust.
I could continue on with my stardust experiences (rants), suffice it to say that, even with the newest versions, I am not a fan!
I decided to try a different product, (and supplier)! So, I searched ECF's vendor positive forum to begin exclusive online purchases (I am such a slow learner...how long does it take one to figure out the vendor you are buying from isn't your friend? ~ in my case: 6-7 months).
On a whim, I ordered 2 different types of clearo's (based on the price).
First, the Vision Nano. Bottom coil, no exposed wick, holds only enough juice to tease you but well worth the risk! No leaks, less nasty burnt flavor than with a stardust but takes a while to break in. Regardless...I had vaped from my last stardust!
I had also ordered an even less expensive "clone" of the stardust...I think it's called "moonbeam" (?) At $2.24 each, well worth the risk. I wasn't blown-away with it, but it was quick to break in and I used all 8 with no leaks. They held up well and I tossed them when they started tasting burnt or I managed to get dirt in them while working in my garden. (duh!)
I'm a heavy vaper and got an average of 4 days out of each. Would have been longer if I had been more careful with them.
I prefer them to the Nano (as far as getting beyond that break-in phase) and they blew-away the stardust!
Having gained some confidence and sense of adventure, I branched out further.
I am currently vaping a Kanger T3. It seems they are not universally popular on ECF.
Personally, I really like them! Out of the 7, I ordered, one arrived DOA.
I called the vendor and, at my request, he'll send a 'free' replacement coil when they're back in stock...works for me!
My latest purchase (as of this a.m.)~
Okay, I wanted a couple of dependable back-up batteries think I found a pretty good deal:
(from myvaporstore ~ I hope it's okay to provide this info)
They have a package deal: "Spinner/Twist Ego VV tank combo" @ $69.95. There is also a 10% off coupon code which expires on 2/28/2013~ I don't remember it off-hand but it's listed on the last page under their specific supplier thread/forum here with ECF.
That brings to combo price to $62.95.
OH (oops) someone may be curious as to what the special includes:
A choice of TWO ego batteries ~ mix, match, whatever (I wanted spinners 1300mAh, but they were out of stock on all),
so I chose 2 different colors of the ego-twists 1000mAh.
Then, a choice of 2 clearomizers (they have several different kinds listed) ~ I wasn't sure what to choose, but settled on 2 Kanger EVOD clearos ~ don't know the first thing about them. Almost wish I had chosen the Kanger MT3, but we'll see.
Also: a Wall to USB charger
AND a Joye eGo Rapid USB charger.
The price seems more than fair. Since I'm out of state, there's no tax and the s&h for priority USPS is $5.50.
My grand total was $68.45 for all 6 items. I've seen 'twists' go for as much as $34 each (battery only). It's a chance for me to try out some 'new (to me) toys'.
They also sell replaceable coils for the EVOD @ $1.50 each. Hope I like them!

Thanks for reading my rant...I'll keep my next 4 newbie posts to a reasonable length so I can get on to the DIY e-juice forums.
