Okay, so I bought a couple of Ego c starter kits (one for me, one for my wife). They are great, except they leak like crazy - unusable, ended up buying analog to get through the day once the things would burp out all the eliquid.

So, I ordered a Mini Nova and a MT3. The MT3 worked for about one tank full and then started leaking like crazy. Changed atomizer, dicked around, can't get it to work. Must be defective, I can't see what else.

The Mini Nova is awesome, and does everything well except the taste is rather muted. I think with the lowest resistence atomizer I could see sticking with it long term.

So now my wife is without a pv and we will have order something new. At this point, we've had more liquid on our hands and in our mouths than we've vaped. But we still love it.

So I'm reaching out - I'm not concerned about cost, but at this point I'm sort of feeling like I have to buy one of everything to find what works - so please, direct me to what you consider the best compromise between taste, heavy vapor and most importantly, reliability. I'm happy to buy a couple and try them out - should I stick with some more mini nova? What is the deal exactly with carto tanks (I'm not positive what that refers to, just that people seem to like them). Protank?

I know this is a bit of a banal question, but everyone seemed to like the MT3 from what I could tell, until I started googleing "leaky MT3" and then it turns out people often hate them :)

Cheers all, and thanks.

I'd take a look at the Evod or Mini Protank for use on an Ego battery, both are designed specifically for those batteries and are bottom-coil devices that have replaceable heads like the MT3. However, they seem to be designed far better, I've been using them exclusively for the last two months or so and never had a single leak unless I forgot to screw the base on firmly (Almost impossible to do unless you're sleep-deprived and refilling at 4am). Those would be my recommendation as an upgrade from the MT3..before getting into anything too crazy. The Mini Nova is pretty good as well, I just don't like the top-coil design as I vape high-VG liquids that don't wick properly in them.

Kellycat makes some good suggestions. As you become a more polished vaper, look into rebuildables. They're not for beginners unless you are mechanically/electrically inclined. But in time, anyone can do them. Keep an open mind. In the meanwhile, go with Kelly's suggestion. The Protank is a good bottom coil clearomizer. The Nova's are solid too but you might like the Protank more. Wont know till you try.

Ditto to the Evod BCC tanks, out of 6 we have, no leaks, even being carried in my pockets.:)

I would also suggest EVOD and Protank mini. They work great, and can be rebuilt pretty easily, there a ton of videos on youtube on how to do it. And in very little time You can learn how to build them to Your personal likings. And You will like Your rebuilt ones better than the ones fresh from the factory.

I'm guessing I will end up with some rebuildables, I like tinkering with stuff. My wife, not so much.

Okay, Protank mini, Evod and a Vapeonly BCC. I'll buy all three.

On that subject, I've poked around a number of vendors and haven't really found one where I feel like I can do all my shopping in one place (and one set of shipping fees). Does such a place exist and I've missed it? For example, where I would be able to buy all three of those and some juice at the same time?

good to hear you dont get discouraged so easy , one thing to keep in mind as cheap as all these tanks/cartos etc you can get some that are not up to par on the quality control so if one doesnt work well that doesnt mean they are all crap( but some times it does) , my sister even had problems with the protank v1 and an ego battery which i had to resolder the negative wire to get to work , that being said being patient helps and i suggest watching reviews and how to's on utube it can save you lots of money till you find what you like and what works for you

Superchunk..a word of advice...get your juice elsewhere. Gear joints do good with gear. Juice joints do good with juice. I'll PM you some suggestions. Just tell me what kind of juice you like...tobacco, fruit, desserts, beverages, etc..

Another vote for the Evod or Mini Protank. I've been using Evods and regular Protanks (I don't own a Mini) for a couple months and I haven't had a single drop leak out of them.

Keep in mind that some juices will crack the plastic tank on the Evod. The Mini Protanks with their glass tanks will handle just about anything.

Point taken - so far I've only had one order of juice, and the only one I loved was 555. I'll be needing at least 50ml of that. I'm happy with that as a daily smoke and am wanting to try some fruit and deserts - first order I went for stuff like cloves, ginger etc... They are..okay.

I was going to place an order from futuretech, just for the sheer amount you get for cheap.
