This is my first time visiting this site today, and I must say there is a vast amount of information available, but I'm having a hard time processing everything. I started smoking ecigs about a year and a half ago. Ever since i've started I have only used the SafeCig brand. I really enjoyed it, and had no problems for a long time. Unfortunately, I feel that the company has taken a huge turn for the worse in regards to the quality of their product, in addition to their virtually non-existent customer service. As I am running out of refills, I decided I was going to switch brands. I started doing some research yesterday and was closely looking at either the V2 or Green Smoke...until I came across these forums.
I didn't know what reviews to trust until I came here, where it seems like the average user giving their opinions.

So my question is, what is the best kit I can purchase, and whatever kit is recommended what else am I going to need to get the full effect of the ecig. I really like the two part system of the SafeCig. I really am looking to get a nice vapor, good battery life, with quality and cost efficient juice. Using the SafeCig, I have never used the juice before, and just always bought the cartridges directly from them.

My apologies if I'm using any incorrect terminologies, as I feel like a complete noob coming to this site. I have looked through the stickies, and tried to browse through some forum posts, but like the title says, feeling a little overwhelmed. Any and all help is very much appreciated. Thanks!

Get a KGO kit from HoosierSupply.com and pick whatever juices you feel you'd like from nearly anywhere. VapeDudes.com, MadVapes.com, Smokeanywhereforpennys.com, myfreedomsmokes.com just to name a few. Alien Juice is great too. One battery in the KGO kit will last over a day, so no more needing to recharge often. No more relying on one company, and cheaper. Good luck!

I used the south bch smoke 2 pc for 2 weeks then upgraded to the eGo t 900Mah starter kit. It was under $60 @ Ecig Express. They just came out with the new eGo c which is much improved along the lines of maintenance and therefore lifespan. It does take a bit of getting used to the tinkering involved that does not apply to what you've been using, but well worth the small learning curve. This particular kit has unlimited compatible parts, so you have unlimited options as far as carts, attys, etc. It's much more cost effective than buying prefilled carts. Start with a selection of small bottles of different flavors, then when you find what you like you buy a barrell full (lol) and the cost per month goes way down.
Just make sure you stick to an ECF approved vendor to be sure your not buying knock offs.

Hello CK85 and welcome to ECF, and I hear ya on the information overload-it can be a bit too much at times  Could you tell us a bit about your vapeing habits? Are you attached to the cigarette form, or open to using something larger (larger usually equates to a better vapeing experience = more vapor, better throat hit, longer battery life and so on)?

this is good advice. Yes this is my first post but I am serious about my lurking and you can't go wrong with a kgo.

I can relate to the overwhelming feeling!

For ME the things I considered was:
I didn't want to charge it several times a day, I didn't want alot of pieces and I wanted to be able to fill something and go most of the day.

Once I started looking around, I also decided that I wanted to get something that had a more popular threading so if I wanted to upgrade or get different attachments, I could without having to buy a whole new kit.

I bought an eGo eGo Mega Dual Coil Cartomizers feeling that it has the 510 threading that I could interchange things and the Mega Dual Coil Cartomizers last all day without having to refill.

Good luck....no matter what you get, it is still better than analogs!

Hi CK85, welcome to the forum. You really lucked out comming here before you decided to up grade. So far the opinions you have recieved have been spot on. I also suggest an eGo or KGO with Boge cartomizers. You really can't go wrong with that set up as well as it's very affordable.

I do want to give you my opinion on Green Smoke. The refills will generally cost you around $2-3 HUNDRED dollars a month, and that's if you only use 1-2 cartridge a day. The batteries also MUST be recharged every 1-2 hours. It's a terrible terrible brand. I lost a fortune with them my first month before I bought the eGo over a year ago. Please concider long and hard before you decide. Vaping can be less expensive with the right gear.

Good luck and best wishes!

In regards to my vapeing habits, I guess I would say I am a heavy user. I'm definitely not adverse to using anything larger, especially if it enhances the overall experience. I'm just a little worried about figuring out how everything works, as I was so used to just screwing on a cartridge and being ready to go.

If you like the slim ecig and want the simplicity, then I would suggest the Volt from Smokeless Image. The battery charge life will still be an issue (you'll get about 3hrs on the 78mm battery and a bit less on the 65mm), but the performance stays true until it dies and they are little fog machines as far as vapor goes. You can get the blank cartos from them and fill them with your choice of liquid.

If you want better battery life and want to maintain the simplicity, I would recommend any of the Ego/Riva/Kgo batteries and a Stardust Vision Ego Cartomizer. They are really easy to fill, hold just under 2ml of liquid, and perform beautifully.

Perfect! With the KGO/eGo type devices you can use a cartomizer. Just like what your familiar with. The big difference will be a slightly larger size, with more vapor and longer lasting batteries. It's really one of the easiest systems to use with many many fans. Plus we're all here to walk you through the learning curve :)

Ahhh ok, good to know. In the case you probably can't go wrong with the KGO from KGO 1100 mAh 2 battery kit as recommended above, it is a true 3.7v. device that most here seem to love.

As far as how everything else works, it is really pretty easy. Filling carto's takes a bit of practice, but there are several methods that work nicely, and all you need to learn once you get that down is when to add a few drops of juice to keep from burning the filler. Blank Boge carto's are fairly cheap @ $7.50 or so for a 5 pack so the learning curve is not an expensive undertaking. And then there is dripping (my preferred method of vapeing) just attach an atomizer to your device, drip 3-4 drops of e-liquid onto the bridge and vape (6-8 puffs depending on your drags) then add 3 drops and repeat. :vapor:

I just wanted to add to this a little.

Go to the top of this page and in the middle is the "forum suppliers". Go there and take a look around at some of the suppliers and go to their websites. I found that the vendors that had videos up on their sites showing how to fill, how to clean the products etc truly made a difference too in my selection. LOL I even was on my vendors site watching their "how to" video while I was filling my cartomizer for the first time to make sure I was doing it right.

And once you have selected something you like, look for a good price with a reputable vendor. And part of that is go read the reviews section of this site. Not everyone is going to like every vendor, but you can get a general idea of how a vendor is at least.

I really appreciate all the help everyone! Such a great community on this site. I'm going to take a look at the KGO and EGO...not sure if there are different models of each or not, but I'm about to find out. If so, any recommendations will help. Going to go take a look at some, and I'll post what i find. Thanks!

This is the eGo I have eGo Mega Dual Coil Cartomizers
I do really like it so far. Heck it's helped me totally kick a PAD, 25 year habit.

Definitely, definitely the kGo.. I don't even have mine yet and already I'm convinced I'm going to love it. Do NOT do the V2 or anything that size, you won't be happy with the battery life. I started with a V2 and while I think it's of decent quality and they got me off the analogs, the battery life seriously sucks. 3 hours at the most. If you become a fairly heavy vaper... (I have!) it's just not convenient to be constantly recharging. Look at all the recommendations for kGo here... I, for one, am thrilled I decided to order it, and now can't wait to get it (tomorrow!)
