Well, you don't hold it like a real cig. If you do, then yes it will feel awkward. Also, If you have a manual 510 you are not gonna hold that like a real cig either.
I would suggest looking up vids on youtube and you will see how people hold them. Plus everyone has their own way too.

Thanks, Bert. I think I'm just getting fidgety, to use a word my grandmother would've, and want the thing delivered so I can get on with it.

Hey Shanagan,

I don't have the ego but from what I hear it's a great device to start with and Pure Smoker is a great company to deal with. I've been a customer of their's for a while now. I am the proud owner of the PS USBpass, the Protege and I just got the V3 a couple of weeks ago. I love them all.

I smoked for 35 years and tried many times to quite but just couldn't until I, by chance, came across all this. I did carts when I first started but I found it to be a pain. I am a dedicated dripper but I do occasionally use a cartomizer when dripping isn't convenient like driving. Don't drip and drive! To me dripping is the best way to go.

I think you are going to really enjoy this and I wish you success in your new venture. Just remember that there is a definate learning curve so don't get frustrated. You will eventually figure out what works best for you.

Thanks so much for the encouragement. I'm kind of a tinkerer/mad scientist by nature, so I'm actually psyched to get this whole thing rolling - speedbumps and all. (I love to cook and used to be a bartender... I guarantee I'll be a diy'er w/the juices before the month is out.) I've also had a lot of success recently cutting down the analogs by chewing nicotine gum (horrible, wretched, not-good-at-all, but effective), so all in all, I just know this is the perfect way to cut the analogs out for good.

So, off to find carts! Onward!

SimpleSins,

To answer your Q --- Yes, 5 unfilled carts come w/your order -- they are not blank, they do have the filler. I got the same set. I must have been among the first whom ordered, as I got a stainless steel one, and I've heard of others saying they were sold out of the SS ones when they ordered. I didn't want my ordered refused or held up, so I put a note in the comment box that said "Blue is second choice if out of SS." I didn't know what color I would end up with, but I almost chose the blue anyway, so I didn't care.

Have fun exploring ECF -- lots of info here. And don't be shy; if you need to ask something, ask away. Also, if you want to get other's opinions, you can go down to the left-hand bottom of the screen and search for something like "best menthol" in the little box, and you'll get all the threads that have that as a topic.

Let us know how things work out for you. :vapor:

Shanagan - We're in the same position here - ordered my eGo from PureSmoker on Friday and am anxiously awaiting it's arrival. Can't wait to jump in.

Glad to hear that the kit comes with carts and to hear how others fit vaping into their normal life - Don't Drip and Drive...

This site is great and the feedback/advise is a great help.

One more thing I'll mention. You might want to go to rrvaporz and pick up a pack or two of cartomizers. I think they're 6.50 for a pack of five.

First, since a cartomizer is a cartridge and atomizer all in one piece, it gives you a back up atomizer in case one of yours should stop working. Secondly you will have a chance to see if you like cartomizers or would rather stick to cartridges.

rrvaporz.com is the cheapest i've found on the web, and i have heard from another post that the owner of the site told him most of his parts are genuine joye parts. If you would rather just get atomizers, they're only $5.00 there for a spare.
