That's because you didn't get to experience the great shutdown of all local suppliers due to oversharing in this very forum. SG Vapers was basically dead and abandoned by many until the new mod team took over.
I literally experienced the boom and bust of sg vapers. I may not be 1 of the mod team but personally I'm against sharing pictures of non-OTS APVs(not because I'm a hipster). Information security is of paramount importance here.
non-off-the-shelf = not available from major retailers. Usually this means that these are produced on limited runs.

U dont have to share it in public, PM can work also, lots of newbie telling me sgvaspers stingy and selfish. I do not need to experience here to feel the shutdown. Thats the forum problem. Even before I join this forum, a lot of my local suppliers shutdown.
The problem with forum is it is faceless and who is to say that the person who PM you is not from "you-know-who"?
Being paranoid is not good but that's the only way to keep this forum and community alive. At least we can share technical aspects, better than nothing.

Ahem.. who's the selfish ones here? The people who wants to handle things in a systematic and secured way so as to protect the entire community OR the ones who jump in here demanding immediate help totally ignoring how it will implicate the others?
If i'm the authority, I'll target the 'helpful' ones 1st. As they are the most willing to reveal just about everything to anybody without further considerations and discreet.
it was clear that big brother went 'shopping' online. many other stuffs online were 'sold out' after their shopping.

You are just an end user and you think you know it all. There's a reason why the suppliers themselves stopped advertising, removed their banner. Some of them even unregistered themselves as official suppliers.
it's easy for you to say everyone should share their sources when you are not the one at risk. My own supplier personally told me to not tell anyone about his existence.
I respect the suppliers and I will not put them at unnecessary risk just to appease someone who I don't even know if he's legit.
Our current rule is fair. you do not ask for sources. Once you have proven yourself to be a legit user, information will come your way.
There are a lot of users who got information this way. It's the impatient ones that whines all the time.
My 2 cents worth. At one time i felt like you. Those who PMed me, i told them where the local suppliers were. Then, within a week my suppliers went offline. Till today, i feel very bad. Not too sure if my actions caused it. Now i simply ignore all such PMs.
I am sure, in the past, the seniors too had shared information. And likewise their actions lead to the local suppliers going offline as well. Can you blame them if their lips are sealed now ?
It is not a "you you and me me" attitude. Have you considered the severe penalties the suppliers face which may include imprisonment ? I keep mum now because i do not have the right to put the local suppliers at risk, especially so when the suppliers themselves requested me not to share any further information ( this was sometime back) .
Frankly speaking, i buy all my stuff from overseas now. The newbies also have access to the same. (That's why we say "eyes open big big"). The newbies can always request information on the product they are interested here or elsewhere on the forum. This forum is huge. Sx-VxxxxS is only a tiny portion of it.
By the way, nobody had shared with me their suppliers. I just had to dig further all over the net.
Is there anymore local suppliers now ? I don't know and i don't care. It is so much cheaper getting them from overseas.
What keeps me going on sourcing for information? I was driven by my desperate desire to quit smoking.
More than 20 years of smoking is enuff for me

See now you all understand newbies. After we all make a rant and express it here, than you all know. Anyway if I can help I help because local suppliers if you know them, they want to make money too. In your face yes, they can tell not to tell others, but behind they still sell it because local sellers charge you so damn high. Provari V2 $450? get out of here man, I can order it cheaper international online.
