I let stress get to me this morning and had a cigarette. Just a little over a week in so it is no big surprise I guess but dang it all. I have to say it was pretty freaking good. I have been fighting vaper's fatigue so it hasn't really been doing it for me. I am a weak weak man. Now to start my quitting process all over again.

I smoked 2-3 packs of Marlboro Reds for 30+ years. In those years I prolly quit 200 times, but never more than a week-month. And went back to smoking. This time around I didn't do it cold turkey. I bought a silver bullet, 6 5ml pbc tanks, few sets of batteries and a charger. The thing is being addicted to cigs, you have to WANT to quit, not just say im done and go with it. You need to get mentally and physically prepared. Once I started to vape it was hard for me to take hits, they seemed VERY strong and i coughed alot. But I stuck with it and over time my lungs got used to inhaling vapor instead of 7000+ chemicals.

If you have the will you will have the way. Take it day by day. Going through nicotine withdraw's is not an easy thing to do. It's like being in a fighting ring with yourself and you beating yourself up. What I did was count the days and after a week I got my sense of smell, taste back and I wasn't hacking in the morning and not as drawn out. I felt more energetic . So I just kept thinking of the positives I was getting by not smoking and got through it. It's like climing a hill. Once you get to the top and start the decent it is easier to go down. It's what I called a hump day. I finally said to myself one day "You know what, I think quitting for real for once in my life is gonna happen." And it did. It's just getting past those cravings and making excuses to smoke. I went threw every excuse in the world in those 30 years to keep smoking. One day I said this needs to stop.

You will get there, keep trying until you hit the sweetspot and can put those nasty cig's in your past.

Hang in there Im 2 months in I havent fallen yet but the temptation is a hard fight for some of us. Ive had members recommend keeping a small bottle of a little higher nicotine around for those days or recommend keeping something around that will give a stronger hit than my aerotank so I ordered a fogger v4. Dont be down on yourself you have no reason to be. I tend to chain vape when I have those days and do more lung hits rather than just hitting it like I did analogs. I think what keeps me from going back is the fact that when I smell someone smoking now it literally stinks. Smoke always smelled good in the past when I tried to quit with patches and a million other methods but now thats no longer a problem.
