To answer your other question, you don't drip cartos. Some people use a drip tip for the feel and/or to make filling and topping them easier. You could gut a carto and drip into it I suppose, but dripping is generally regarded as dripping the eliquid directly onto the bridge of an atty. Some even debridge the atyy and drip directly onto the coil, but that is a whole other subject it itself.

I use a drip tip on everything, atty or cartomizer...

its important to keep any cartomizer wet, as soon as the burnt taste sets in its normally easier to toss it than to clean it. But keeping the filler wet will greatly extend cartomizer life. I have gotten a week or 18ml+ worth of juice out of a cartomizer/ boge style/ with no burnt taste setting in...but I kept it wet constantly.
