Thank you! This explains why I am slightly less impressed with epowers than Rivas. So its not my imagination! Also the reason I like riva better than ego. Guy, ALSO the reason I insist that you try before you buy!!! I have 2 1860's, one performs better than the other in that the button doesnt shut off too soon. Must have been different models/versions. Im obviously sending the one with longer button time!

Morning, Laura! No, the plan is you keep what you like and send me the extra! The e-power is bigger though, I saw thanks to your pictures in that e-power thread. I'm not a fan of that 2,000 mAh, is it? Feels like I'm at a karaoke!

But I'm keeping what you send, don't like packing. :D It's always good to backups.

Get a Silver Bullet or other mechanical mod JAG. If you're serious get a VV mod. Spend more now for better vape and longer term happiness.

Morning, Verm! Thanks, but nah, no need for VV or anything fancy for me. I was/am happy with a 3.7v Riva. I'm a mellow guy, mellow hits and keep it simple. All I want is a tall ship and...oh, wrong sport.

did you see that youtube? That the 18650 didnt hit 3.7. what do you think?

not yet, will later...still early in my house, nothing is stirring, not even a mouse. :)

I dont understand the differece between fast drain batt and non. dont know if this makes any difference.

I was a computer consultant. When people asked me what computers to get, I always asked what they wanted to do with it and recommended according to their needs. You don't need the latest and greatest computer to write emails. I figure if you're happy with your vape, with whatever equipment, it's good. I'm a vaper, not an electrician. :D

epower a little airy, hard to get a good vape. I put my glasses on and took a good look comparing the air holes. They DO aooear a little larger than with the riva, si I did the ol' tape thing' on a few of the holes and DID get a better result, but I am suspicious that its not quite as warm also. I really need a V meter!

YES I AM!! input please! I JUST DONT get as good a vape on the epower as I do the riva, dont know if the stock smoketech batts have anything to do with this

I WILL NOT SEND GUY anything SUB PAR!!

Sub par is fine with me!

I think "protected" means the batt will maintain a certain voltage and signal recharge when volts run below that. Don't know what is high drain.

edit: the e-power comes with a cone. I find with Rivas, I get a different vape with cone than without, warmer, less airflow.

A cone will give you a tighter draw. Many of the eGo/clones only put out 3.2V, they are regulated batteries and throttling the voltage will increase battery life somewhat.

A protected battery has a PCB that prevents over drawing the battery9meltdown/boom) where high draw have a chemistry that protects you from doing so and allow a higher amperage draw. Depending on what you are using them for one can be a much better idea than the other. A lot of new VV and regulated PVs have the protection built in so the high draws work better for them, especially in single battery boosted PVs like the ProVari.

Using egos/Rivas/etc you are out of the discussion pretty much.

I got "protected" and "regulated" mixed up. That's why I'm ignorant on these things.
