Fight for Your Right to #vape - Daily Action Plan for Monday, 03.10.14
___
Sorry for the absence this weekend, I’ve got my own testimony to prepare for a Budget Cmte hearing in New Jersey. More on that later.
___
Washington Vapers showed up in Force on the capitol steps this Saturday despite the rain. They were joined by Reps Chris Reykdal, .... Muri, and J.T. Wilcox who are actively working to kill the punitive #ECigs Tax.

Let’s send some #ThankYou’s to some of the Reps we know are supporting vapers followed by another round to keep the pressure on those we haven’t heard from.

“This tax is still *VERY* much alive. Here is a great way to ensure that Washington State Representatives and Senators know that we are serious about defending those who represent vapers well at the State House.” - https://www.facebook.com/WVANetwork/posts/519511628167169?stream_ref=5

I did the thank yous and all, but as of today Washington voted in a 75% tax on all ecig products to take place in July, so look for at least mt baker vapor to be moving, if not provape and others as well.
The vote won 7-6
I think 7 of them need to be voted out of office, and someone in Washington state needs to sue the government for usery, unconsitunal taxation, or something.

It still has to pass the full House and Senate, and then on to the Governor.

By my understanding it has moved forward to be voted on by WA house representatives, and following that, the Senate, and following that, ratified by the Governor. This gives me hope. Please correct me if I'm wrong

Edit: Coldrake beat me to this one =]

My appalling senator, Chuck Schumer (☭NY) started increasing his carbon footprint recently by flapping his gums about how e-cigarettes lead kids to smoking. There are not enough profanities in the English language to express the amount of contempt I have for him and his ilk. Needless to say, he got a not so cordial letter from me about the subject.
