Filler and Juice!

Multi question post again as I don't particularly want to create two new topics. Comment on either or both if you can! And I'm sure you can, you guys are geniuses.

Anyway, vaping since Tuesday and I just love it. In fact, I was a very heavy smoker so I'm a pretty heavy vaper. I've discovered some of the at home modding that you can do to create a more pleasant vaping experience. I'm having fun with that, I love to tinker with things.

One thing that I'm a bit disappointed in is the filler. The carts that came with my ecigs had that polyfil stuff in it and while it was fine at first, I noticed I was getting that mechanical yucky taste not long after topping it off, or at least not long enough for it to be empty. It just wasn't getting all of the juice out of them. So, I did some forum searching and found a thread from 2009 talking about using cigarette filters. I had some of those on hand from some old cigarillos and it took a little adjusting but once I got it just the right length and width with it all fuzzed out it's wonderful! A hundred times better than that stuff it came with, the vape clouds are huge and it has lasted twice as long as the original filler and I'm still goin strong.

Since that's an older thread, did I miss anything that says cigarette filters are not okay to use? (that's question one)

2nd question: Juice. Any suppliers out there with a really wide array of flavors available with adjustable nicotine, PG, VG with a lot of different sizes to choose from? Sample sets are a plus, as well as positive customer experiences.

Most people who use cartridges either just replace the polyfill with blue foam, PTB mod, or new polyfill. Blue foam and PTB are the two most popular. I know that doesn't answer your question, but if you do a search for threads pertaining to those you can get more information on them.

There's quite a few juice vendors who'll give you varying ratios of VG/PG, and nic and also have a lot of flavors to choose from. VaporBomb is one of my favorites and they do sample sizes. If you like cinnamon try their CinnaBomb.

Check out the vendors who have forums here, browse their websites. The variety is astounding, and many have sample packs. If you want it, at least one of them will have it.

The variety of juice is smaller than some others, but taste is second to none IMHO and good prices, too ($8 for 16 ml). You can also make your own sampler pack, I think it's 10 3ml bottles for $17. Special Roast Coffee, Cream, Rum, and Clove are all the best I've tried so far. They're also in Georgia, so shipping would probably be super fast for you.

As far as I have ever seen, there is nothing wrong with using cigarette filters as filler material.
Well, other than the fact that they don't always work that well.

But if they are working well for you, then you are way ahead of the game.

VELVET VAPORS, the best juice u can get, somewhat sweet, but cant stop using it, cafe mocha and chocolate almond, cm tastes like u just bit into fresh cooked fudge....they have samples...

Thank you! I actually placed an order with them last night, my mother gets her juice from there and I know she gets it quickly as it's just a bit over an hour away from us. They do have plenty of flavors, my only gripe is that all of their samples come in 18mg nic, and I've been vaping on 24mg so I'd worry I'll be huffing the stuff.

As for the filler material, I went to our local pet shop looking for the blue foam stuff and couldn't find it. What I did find I wasn't sure if it was what I was looking for. I have a 5 pack of blank carto's coming with my juice sample set from Awesome Vapors so this might be a pointless question if I find I prefer them.

Okay VaporBomb is exactly what I'm looking for! They don't seem to have the customizable 3ml sample sets like awesome vapors does, but their prices are nice and the really neat and unique flavors are pretty incredible. Love that you can create your own custom flavor and they're all mixed by hand and made in the US. This is pure win for me, thank you again!

I like blue foam stuffing. If you have a 510 w/ standard carts you can get precut blue foam stuffing very very cheap at strictlyejuice.com (75 cents for 10 pieces I think)

I actually cut those down for some smaller carts I have. Cheapest way to try blue foam in 510. The bulk uncut is Marineland Rite-Size U Foam Sleeve in the aquarium dept of PetSmart

Juices - I like 70pg/30vg blends and some 80pg/20vg (and sometimes 50/50 for a desserty flavor)

Ebay has a single sleeve of the Marineland Rite-size U for $2.99 the ones at most petmsart stores are 3 sleeves (would dry rot before you could use it all) for about $8. If you had 3-4 other people to go in with you I would buy the 3 pack otherwise I would hit ebay for the single pack and still be set for years.
