Hey all,
I just bought some blank 510 cartomizers from eastmall and have no idea how to fill them. When I used the KR8 cartos you would just pop off then end piece, pull out the little rubber washer and fill the carto with liquid... I know all about the spin technique etc... Just having a hard time getting the thing open.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

I've found that a drip tip works wonders on those pesky hard topped carto's. Once you remove the top (so long as their not the type where lid is attached to the center tubing) a drip tip fits right in there and also disperses some of the heat away from your lips. I've been using carto's as my go to solution of not wanting to spend 10 bucks an atty ;) and have been doing so for a few months now!

Once the drip tip is in, it pulls right back out again if you feel the need to do so, or just drop about 10-15 drops right in the tip itself and be on your way! IMO, it is one of the best setups I've come across yet (shut it pervs!)

And Bianca...That was classic!! I needed the laugh as well, so thanks go out to you and nubee!!

To add to the above ^^^, if you go this route, don't be afraid to tear out that top as the tip will replace it anyway! The carto top will just end up in the trash anyway :D

Cool I just boiled about a half inch of water, took it off the stove still hot and then sat my 510 cartomizers in it tip down. Worked great. The tips came right out after soaking them in (slightly less than) boiling water for 20 secs.

I'm smoking one now and it is handy, not having to refil as often. Plus it makes the eGo a little shorter (more portable) which I dig. Need to try that spin method me thinks in order to get fluid all the way through, but so far it's alright.

I'm not getting nearly as much puff for my puff compared to my 510 LR atties. Any thoughts on what I can do to improve the performance? Or are 510 cartomizers inherently more subtle.

After using the 510 cartomizer for a while I'm really starting to like it. Comparing the carto to the LR atty... the LR atty does give you a little more bang for your buck, but the convenience of using the cartomizer is growing on me... once I figured out how to remove the tip.

I just drop 20 drops of liquid, pop the tip back on, and I'm good to go for 4-6 hours depending on how hard I hit it. No leaks, no getting e-juice all over my fingers when I refill. The cartos also make my ego a little bit shorter for easier storage.

I still use the LR atty for when I'm at home and want to savor the juice for all it's worth... thinking about investing in one of them there drip tips.

All in all though I think I'm sold on the 510 cartos. They hold a lot of juice, last a looong time and aren't nearly as messy.

I get a much better draw and a ton vapor when I use liquids that have a little (sometime a lot!) of VG...I'm not into the throat hit thing, so while the vg can mute that, I don't mind it at all. I've also noticed that the draw tightens up a bit on a refill, vs freshly filled blank carto. I highly suggest after you get those 20 drops in, that you drop that carto (capped) in a baggie, an e-cig pouch or a even a tube sock! hahaha...threaded end down and spin it for a few seconds...then add 10 more drops and spin it again. It's worth it for performance and more time between filling. :)

Is it me, or does the 510 cartomizer take a LOT more juice than the 808's?
I was using 808's on the 510 mega with an adapter, and today I opened up a new 510 cartomizer, and filled it - wow..........is all I can say!

Hi jojo! :) I can get 40 drops in one...I'm not kidding. :) And without flooding. I don't mind taking the time to fill, spin, fill spin..etc. when I can get so much in and vape for hours! They rock. :)

Ya Bianca......it kept taking more and more, I could not believe it!
Its a shame I bought two 808 xtra long, I should have bought 1 of each - 808 and 510!!
I used the condom method - is this what you use?
Instead of spinning - I violently shake it - hehe

I use both methods together, about 25 drops, condom, then spin, 10 more, condom then spin...then if I blow through it and it doesn't gurgle, I put in 5 more! :D Every once in a while, I will blow out a few drops...but it doesn't happen that often. This is only for blanks...and Boges at that...refill, I usually on put in 20 drops max. I may have a 510 manual batt I can send you...someone I know here in Raleigh said they were giving me their kit to PIF to someone who needed it. I should find out for sure next week. :)
