Obvious noob here! Only one month into vaping on the eGo t I started with. Got some emdcc's and anxious to try but have not yet used a cartomizer only the 1ml cartridges and atomizer (standard stuff that comes with eGo t).

So...I feel like a real dummy but, what's the best way to fill these? I've read bits here and there...fill with a syringe, or drop down the side..120 drops...90 drops, etc. Do I understand correctly that I am basically just filling to the top of the white fill material? (which I now read is tasting bad/changed, etc.) but I got 'em so gonna try them. I don't have any syringes (but can obviously get them) do I have to use syringe to fill? Since I can see through the hole in the center of the fill material I obviously don't want to get an juice in there. Used to cartridges that you fill to the top (or close to) so is the objective to saturate the white fill material?

Thanks in advance! Happy vaping!!

Same object as the smaller carts, get the filler wet. I have a whole bunch of these, both clear and metal, and have a love hate thing going. What I have learned from filling clear ones is that you can drop fill it from the top, let it wick a little down into the filler, then add more, etc, etc, until it fills. This has only worked well for me on really thin juices. Recently I did this and the juice never wicked all the way to the bottom. IMO, the best way I have found to fill these is with a syringe. I slide it down between the filler material and the outer tube half way, let out some juice, then do this in two more spots around the cart and it's full. I get juice down the center all the time during the fill process...not a huge deal imo, just blow it out if you do. Once you've gotten all the filler saturated once, it does seem to be a little easier to top off.

Thanks so much! Excited to give them a try, I've seen some say better to fill and leave overnight even?

So, I guest it's just weird o me but I find these emdcc's odd. The vape is "airy" and not as much flavor as my original Type A atomizers (which I'm still only getting 10-13 days out of and not having luck cleaning and not real happy with at the moment). What's up with the crackling? is that supposed to happen with the emdcc's? Someone said to try the boge cartomizer's, I've looked at them but can't figure out which one I would use with eGo T battery?

Hi Angel, the draw from the mega carto's feels airy and requires more effort simply because the area inside is bigger. They are convenient in that you won't need to refill them as often, but the draw will remain the same. If you are interested in Boge cartomizers, try some low resistance cartomizers, single or dual coil. These will work with the battery you mentioned. You can typically get 5 of them for well under $10. As far as the noise, that's normal, it's just doing its job :)

I just got some of the EMDCCs, so far I love 'em.

Syringe works best, just push the needle down the side (between the filler & the cylinder). I usually do it in 3 or 4 spots for the first fill. After that I just drip on the top. Seems to take juice well, and I doubt you'll need to let them sit overnight. 10-20 minutes is probably more than enough (I have the clear ones so I can actually see the juice).

Crackling is normal, and these things are pretty loud as far as cartos/ attys go.

The draw seem to tighten up after a bit, that said, I don't mind a little more airy of a draw.

I bought these after having nothing but problems with the smoktech LR cartos (resurrectors). Tried the boges LR cartos, very unimpressed with those.

Revisiting this thread, now that I'm getting used to these, I'm liking them pretty well! Getting the juice and flavor going pretty good and plenty of vapor. The first hit is ok, the second is much better! not at all crazy about the rubber tip and does seem to leave a bit of a rubbery taste. Anyone have any experience with the round tips?

Best thing I ever did for mine was to add THIS and a drip tip.

Edit: I also have a few of these that are nice for them as well.

Soooo are you using that for dripping or in place of the tip that's on the emdcc?
I know nothing about dripping yet, that's my next area of study but I don't think I want to
sit and drip 3 drops at a time. I'm kinda on the go majority of the time.

Nothing to do with dripping at all, merely for comfort of vaping.

Great! I'm not ready for dripping yet lol Thanks so much for all your help I'll give that set up a try. If you use the adapter can you then use any drip tip? or just that one?

Yep, any of my 510 drip tips work great. Be careful when ordering it from Madvapes if you do....they have one for the metal EMDCC, and one for the clear...different diameters. The clear one says clear specifically on the description. I recommend that you order several if you you can. These are small little suckers, and I did find one mis-packaged...the difference in them is not visible to the naked eye.

I'm restarting this thread because I'm a big boy now and can post here :vapor: AND I learned something that may be helpful.

ECBlend sells bottle caps with built in blunt needles. I've been using them on cartomizers and will try them on my soon to arrive dual coil mega cartos. I have huge strong hands so I can squeeze a good amount quickly but even slower filling with the needle has to beat dripping and rotating.

Angel...hang in there getting off the analogs. I smoked for 50 yrs. and I am amazed at how well ecigs have worked to help me quit. I'm going on two months and I keep a PV in my pocket and keep my nic level up. I've even hit it at grandsons' little league ball games (hold the vapor in and it will condense...no smoke :p) Good luck to you and to all FORMER smokers.
