Filling or dripping or Topping off?

Could someone possibly tell me what the difference is? I've seen these methods mentioned, but in all my reading/video watching here, I still can't figure out what the difference is and what the advantages/disadvantages are for each.

Since I got my 510 this week, I've just been adding 4-5 drops right on top of the filling when it seems to loose vapor. I'd assume that's dripping?

You are 'topping off' the cartridge when it begins to run a little dry.

'Filling' is basically re-filling a cartridge that has been wash and restuffed with a dry filler. Filling an empty cartridge can be done a number of ways.

'Dripping' is the act of dropping e-liquid directly into the atomizer. No cartridge is used when dripping.
