After trying on not liking prefilled cartomizers from V4L I decided to order some juice from FSUSA and blank V4L CoolCarts. My juice arrived 2 days ago and my CoolCarts are scheduled to arrive today. I'm anxious to try these out but wanted to get some tips on how to fill blank CoolCarts. From what I read, they are longer so I'm specifically looking for:
1. How many drops do I put in?
2. What is the best method for filling?
3. How long after filling do I let the CoolCart sit before using?

Thanks all!

I think Cool Carts are about the same as Boge 510 cartomizers, so here's how I fill cartomizers (the kind with the white cap on the mouth end):

1) New cartos - 25 to 30 drops. The filler inside is sometimes taller than others, so the number of drops can fluctuate. I fill until I see a drop of liquid at the threaded end. If I think I might have overfilled it, I'll lightly blow into the mouth end once or twice to make sure there's no gurgling (while holding a tissue at the other end).

When refilling cartos - 12 to 18 drops, depending on how dry I vaped the filler.

2) The easiest and quickest (by far) method for me is to remove the white cap at the mouth end, drip directly into the filler, while holding the carto at a 45-degree angle, replace the white cap, and put the newly-refilled carto in rotation (to be used in a day or so).

3) I like to let cartos sit for about 24 hours or at least overnight, because the flavor, vapor, and throat hits seem to be much better when I do that.

I use cool carts and standard length manual batteries from V4L along with TV AC juice. I’ve refilled my current carto 11 times now. I use the drip method, no spin. When it was new I put 35 drops in it, cleaned the battery end, screwed it to the battery and started vaping. When the battery goes dead, I refill the carto (16 - 25 drops), screw it to a fresh battery, vap, repeat. After you have refilled a few times you’ll be able to recognize when to stop dripping before it’s overfilled (no point in wasting juice). I still count the drops but it’s no longer necessary. Sometimes after a slight overfilling I tightly roll the corner of a paper towel so it will fit into the small hole on the battery end of the carto. I do this to clean the dark residue from inside the tube. My experience is that the cartos won’t last as long if you run them dry.
