Finally Content: MVP 2 and Nautilus

So, after playing around with the starter Ego without a variable mod, and my girlfriends ego twist and a few other things friends had I knew I wasn't satisfied with my starter kit. I just got a MVP 2 and a nautilus in the mail.

WOW!

This just......works! No fiddling, no burnt hits, no battery life worries.

I wish I would've just bought this from the get go!

All I have left as far as juice is Unicorn Blood and Clouds of Icarus Lemon Bar and they taste so much better. Can't believe the difference this made.

I just wanted to make this post for other people who may be new to all this somewhat confusing hardware.

I could probably still use some tips as far as what the difference the Watts/Volts adjustment does to the taste. I can tell the volt increase makes it slightly more potent to the point of almost tasting burnt on max, well not burnt but, hotter?

Play around with your voltage with regards to different flavors. I vapes my fruits and lighter colored eliquids at a lower v/w than I do my deserts and more complex flavors.

I have the MVP2 and mini Nautilus and it's nice to know it's gonna have enough power for a long day. Mine actually gets me through 2 days until the yellow light comes on. I vape 70/30 pgvg at 10 watts for big flavor and plume of vapor but go down to 8.5 when I vape a 30/70 pgvg mix; your mileage may vary. My Evod tanks work well on the MVP too.

The wattage you vape at for the most part can be simplified into one thing... Amount of juice vaporized in a given time. Typically the more vapor produced (and sometimes the warmer the vape) the more flavor comes through... It doesn't matter rather you're vaping a 4 watts or 400 watts (fog machine, LOL) the same principle applies...

The "burnt" taste doesn't really come from vaping at too high of a wattage for the particular juice... In other words, if we took two different setups... One a clearomizer and one a dripper... On the clearomizer a given juice may taste "burnt" at anything about 8 watts.... On the other hand, take that same exact juice and put in in a great dripper build and you might be able to put 100watts on it with no burnt taste...

How much wattage you can run really doesn't have anything to do with the juice... Not directly anyway... Indirectly yes... You can take the same exact setup and find that one juice will burn at 10 watts while another will be perfectly fine at 15 watts... But it doesn't mean that same juice that burns at 10 watts can't be atomized in a different setup at 50watts just fine...

Does that make sense so far?

When you boil it down to basics, it's the setup that determines just how much power can be applied without burning the juice. Largely a result of surface area combined with wicking ability... Take a top coiled clearomizer and it's just impossible for it to wick juice very fast... Therefore the juice that's being atomized can't be replaced very fast... Which means if you atomize it at a rate faster than it can be replaced, then you're going to get a burnt taste and a dry hit...

On the other hand, put that same juice in a bottom coil RBA with a perfect setup and you can wick juice into the coils VERY fast... meaning you can crank it up...

Put it in a dripper and you can REALLY crank it up... assuming it's built/wicked right...

Get it? Power determines how much vapor is released... but that juice that turns to vapor MUST be replaced as fast as it's released or else it will burn... and that's a function primarily dependent on your wick... Though different juices will wick differently in the same setup...

Now aside from cloud chasing, why do you want more power/vapor? Because the more vapor released, the more flavor and nicotine you get... If I take a kfl and build in right (with micro coil and cotton) I can take a juice and vape at 5 watts... I'll still get a decent vape, but... crank it up to 30 watts and all of a sudden I'm getting rich dense vapor that just coats your mouth with flavor... LOL, one of my juices is called "Ecto-Cooler" it's basically like orange hi-c with a touch of menthol... If I vape that at very high wattage (Assuming the setup can support it) it practically tastes like I'm sitting there DRINKING a hi-c... Turn it down to 5 watts and I can certainly still taste it.. .and enjoy it... but it's just a "taste" of it... I can't really explain it... something that just has to be experienced I guess... You remember many years ago they came out with those "diet" sprays that tasted like chocolate? Every time you got hungry you sprayed this "binaca" can in your mouth and it was supposed to taste like chocolate and satisfy you and make you not hungry any more... LMFAO... Well it's kinda like that... Spraying that mist in your mouth might give you a taste of chocolate... but it's a far cry from shoving a hershey's bar in your mouth!

I've been using an MVP 2.0 and Nautilus Aspire (not the mini) for a few months now. The MVP 2.0 is pretty good, love how you can charge other devices with it and the huge battery. It doesn't output the power I need, so looking to upgrade to a mech mod setup.

The Aspire on the other hand, has ups and many downs. When it works, I got decent clouds, but the flavor was muted. My biggest issue with it was refilling the tank, had to use pliers to unscrew the the bottom portion and when I did refill it, half the time I had leaking/gurgling. I watched a lot of videos and tried various methods to fix that issue (not filling all the way, lose/tight) and nothing. Finally the glass threads up top by the drip cracked, so I've been using an iClear30 which is bit worse on the flavor/vapor side, but sooooo much easier to refill.

I hear the new mini version has a lot better flavor because of the BTC coils, but there are also a lot of threads about the safety of the wicking material used. So now I'm going the RDA route, hoping to have better flavor.
