itaste MVP 2 burning everything

I am getting a terrible burnt taste when using my MVP with anything other than protank coil heads at 2.2 ohms. I just tried yet another clearo on there with a different coil head at 2.4 ohms, burnt again, makes no sense. The voltage is down at 3.8 and the wattage is at 7, this should not be happening should it? Anyone else having this issue?

This might be a Protank problem, not an MVP problem. If you are using a 50/50 blend juice or a juice with higher levels of VG, you will need to remove at least one or both of the flavor wicks that rest on top of the coiled wick inside your atomizer head. I use a 50/50 blend and remove one wick with the stock heads. Also, be sure to take a few unpowered primer puffs every once in a while if your tank is on the full side. It's crazy how a tiny piece of silica can change your vape so much!

Just in case... you believe that you set both the volts and watts... here's something for you to read.

Thank you so much for this!! As a total newbie, I didn't know this either....now that I've set my wattage to a 5, I'm getting some great flavor on my iTaste VV (which has VV and VW - and I was stupid enough to think I was setting both)!! Great info!

Not stupid... it's far too common an occurrence to be considered stupid. More a mass state of the uninformed. :)

I post that link... nearly every day. So stupid? Not so much.

Just FYI, I'm having the same issue. Every single tank I own. Evods, KPT2s, Davides, mini Pro Tanks. I've tested the tanks out on someone else's APV.....the tank isn't the problem. I used to be able to vape at 8 watts perfectly fine with my MVP, but a couple of weeks ago, everything started tasting burned, unless I have it set to six watts or 3.3 volts. Everything works fine at higher voltage/wattages on other devices, though.

It's possible that whatever device you're using is putting out the max voltage no matter where it's set. You'd need to have a voltmeter to measure the output at the connector
