Been reading several references to a CE2 R5 and couldn't find any description of what was different from the R4. Finally found a picture of one and it has thick rope for a wick instead of strings of wick. Now I know and you do too. Found at health cabin.
Any one using them yet and how do they compare to the R4 setup? I'm still looking for the R4 or R5 clear ones but haven't found any yet in stock anywhere.

R6 is the thick wick. COV has them but we're finding out that the factory is sending out mixed boxes of them. James Hart ordered 2 packs and out of the 10 CE-2's, only 1 had the thick wick. Wait awhile before you order any. Clearomizers are also coming out with them but again, wait a month so the factory gets rid of the old ones.

Could be, but the picture was labeled as R5. Would think of ordering them from hc, but I'll wait till they reach a US company. Just too much clear stuff(tank of different types) floating out there now for making a choice right now. Metal R4 I like and have too many now to be buying more clear ones, haven't had any clear ones crack on me yet. Hope the R5 fix that issue.

Just checkec cov and they have a picture of the new ones - none in stock But it also says V4 which I take to mean R4.

Bigbuyer says that Martinez from RS is calling them R6. Bigbuyer hasn't changed the name on them yet since he's finding out that they are a mixed lot.

Vendor can't see throught the steel and black ones (I know that sounds snotty but please don't take it that way...I didn't know how else to put it). You can only kinda see through the packing on the clearomizers but Bruce at COV said the clearomizers were the new wicks (I think...we were discussing the non-seeable kind and I think he mentioned it). However, question him before you buy any.

I've commented on their numbering system on other posts, which is brain numbing for those of us following these since day one.

It started getting confusing around r3. There were 'frankenstein' r3's that we called r.375, 'bastomizers', etc. Then came r4 w/ the black plastic shrink wrap around the cup, etc. Then r5? The company never called them that but some vendors did. Now, as was stated above, COV got word from Martinez that the new rope wicks are r6.

Seems like a number got skipped, but I suppose the clearomizers really should have been called r5 afterall.

The sellers could end some of the confusion if they had better pictures or used a little bit of the empty space in their adds to describe the produce more fully.

Agreed, and that just doesn't go for for Ce2s. Having a picture is obviously important, and an accurate description is a must! It is critical to whether a buyer will purchase or pass (I don't purchase if I'm not sure it's what I'm looking for by the description), and having to email the company and ask for what should have been in the description in the first place, is just ridiculous. It seems to me that any seller should know what he is selling, and know what buyers need to know about a given item before we buy.

Thse Ce2s need to have a detailed description because there are so many revisions being done. Also for other items such as atomizers, sellers need to state the Ohms (there are a lot of them who don't). 510 batteries: State if manual batteries are sealed, state the correct Mah, and voltage (under load).

Sellers should know that we need to know all this, if they do not realize that, then maybe they should not be selling these types of items!

Edit: Also, have the things you advertise in stock. No sense looking at items you can't even buy!

gotcha. i didn't think of that lol. i'm sure they'll be better than clearomizers regardless. just to have something that doesn't leak = will be a major improvement for me.

They may not be able to see thru steel, but surly they can afford to open ONE and use it to decribe the other hundred boxes that they have, thats if they know how to type.
