Finally finished my acrylic tube mod!!!

Have had this tube from madvapes for about a month now....finally got around to finishing it. I was having a problem getting the ground strip inside the top piece not connecting, but finally figured it out today! And instead of drilling a hole for the LED, I connected it on the inside, so that it lights up the whole top piece! Check it out and let me know what you think!

Actually rmerriett, madvapes.com sells the tubes and everything else you need to build one. You could build one yourself. Its not too hard.

Yeah, it's not too difficult, and if you wait just a little bit longer, madvapes will be selling a limited quantity of the completed tube, instead of just the DIY.

I have one of these, put it together with hot glue so I can rip it apart easily when I figure out how I'm going to make it 5v. I know what to put in there, but for a mechanical ...... like me making it happen is another matter.

I thought about making mine a 5v, but I decided against it, this way I can have 3.7v or 6v, instead of just being limited to 5v. It would be sweet to make this variable voltage!

Yeah, after a couple days of using mine, I love it, the only thing that would make it better, is VV and if they made the Blue Lightning 18650 tube instead of the 14500.

Which batteries are you using for 6v highoctane22? 16340s? My CR2's don't quite fit in the tube.

I'm using the GREEN CR2's 3v's from MadVapes. Thats odd that yours dont fit. The cr123's definately will not fit in the blue lightning, but will in the gold rush tube.
