Hey everyone!
First of all I want to say "hello"!
I spent almost a week researching about the e cigarettes and finally I got ordered a 510 on saturday! As the e-cig divas said, I ordered three atomizers, 3 batteries and two cartridges.

A little bit about my smoking carrier:
Currently: going to SJSU doing my undergrad in computer science.

I started smoking when I was 17, till I was 18 I used to smoke about a pack a month (thats because I was in my high school basketball team and I noticed that I couldn't play properly when I smoked more). But then I injured my knee and tore my ACL, had to get a surgery and the doc told me to stay away from sports for a year. Thats when I started smoking like half a pack in a day.

I told myself "i'm still 18 and Ill quit when I turned 21" then I was 21 and I was smoking about a pack a day. I tried to quit (have been trying ever since) but didn't succeed, the max I went without a smoke was a month. Also, during exams it is impossible for me to study without a smoke break.

Now I'm 23, finally I have found an alternative to the analogue smokes. Which is way better than the regular ones! I'm sure that I will not go back to smoking analogue cigarettes again!

The main reason I am switching is because I want to be able to run 10 miles in one go (I used to do that when I was 18), and, eventually run a marathon without gasping for breath every mile!

But on the other side, our great state of California is banning e cigarettes! I hope they don't do that!

Hi and welcome to a fellow cali! Yeah isn't 'cantaffordya' a wonderful state? Sheesh such a shame that goverment is ruining this once great state! Well from what i understand they might ban the ecig sales but not the use, so hopefully we'll still be able to vape away...I've been smoking 38 years and I LOVED my cigs, but hated them too you know? But now I'm in complete love with my 510. I've only had a couple puffs on my analogs in the last 3 days and i immediatly put it out, yuck! Have fun and really take your time on all the forums here, such great info.

Awesome to have you here 007! Glad to hear you found e-cigs and were able to make an informed choice. I totally understand the wanting to run feeling. I was a heavy smoker for the longest time and managed, somehow, to run while in the military. I found that I enjoyed running 3 - 6 miles but the blue spots and dry heaves were working against me LOL. Now, it's been years since then but I'm on the e-cig and back to jogging and stationary biking... it feels great no more blue spots.

Thank you! I have been looking all around the forum like crazy! I finally feel like I have answered all the questions I had by just reading through the forums! This is a great site!

Welcome to the ecig club spring007. Yeah, it makes a lot of sense for the gov't to ban the ecig while still allowing tobacco companies to load up their products with about 50 different carcinogens.

tell me about it!

23!!! I got WARTS that are 23... :>)

lol..:)

Welcome! I got my 510 today. I think you will be pleased!
I already am, my friend got one about three days ago, he got a deal from cignot.com all the stuff you need for $65! He gave me one (he got two of them) to try it out and I loved it!

I think the main point that our stupid senators (most of them atleast!) are missing is that the profit got from tobacco taxes are detrimental to the economy in the long run. Granted they are making a lot of money from the 150 + % tax they have recently imposed on tobacco but, in the long run, they will be spending the equal amount of money on the "health care" costs of smokers.

But on the other hand, if they popularize e-cigs =>
better health => better productivity => better life => better economy!

Is it really that hard for our so called "leaders" to see this cycle??
