Hi I'm finally all kitted out with JOYE510 and e-liquid (B&H cigarette flavour) high strength. I've ordered some menthol e-liquid as I think I might prefer the taste.

Anyway I'm on day 2 but still smoking a lot. I've managed to cut out maybe 5 analogues (I smoked rolled ones) so it's hard to say the exact amount, sometimes I chain smoke.

Sometimes I've smoked an analogue and enjoyed it, other times it has tasted nasty. It's like sometimes I'm vaping and want a analogue and when I'm smoking an analogue want to vape. Is that normal?

Just hope I can pack in analogues altogether even a good reduction would be nice.

Thanks all for your help in choosing right kit for me anyway, huge help I'd have been lost otherwise. :)

I've also slipped back into analogs now and then, but I find myself more and more looking forward to vaping over analogs.
In ten days, I've gone through two and a half packs of analogs, mostly due to running out of liquid or not having enough charged batts. All of that will resolve next week with my second order.
Keep at it...it will resolve into 100% vaping from everything I've read here.

It takes a while to trust that the vaping will satisfy you and be reliable. Also finding a good flavor juice that you enjoy helps. Once you get comfy will all that, you will find that you can take baby leaps like not having an analog all day or not sweating that last pack of analogs running out cuz you have your PV as backup. You'll see!

Best answer I've read all day. "Trust" and addiction don't necessarily go hand in hand.
It takes time and positive, reinforcing experiences.
Thanks, Mets,too!

:D

For me, it wasn't ALL about the nicotine! I had to replace some of the things I really LIKED about smoking with more positive vaping habits. I really liked my breaks at work and my 'thinking time' that smoking gave me. Chewing gum or tooth picks just didn't replace those things. Walking came close but it wasn't always doable when I needed those things. Vaping, so far, has given me the best of both worlds and I can gradually cut back the nicotine in relative comfort.

camel filter in one hand and a 510 in the other LOL. Yeah I've done that a few times. Still smoking analogues but less (4th day). A few times I've caught myself enjoying vaping, which was nice, and last night just felt really happy about knowing I've smoked a lot less that day. My hair already feels cleaner.

Couple of my friends were getting curious too.

I was very leery of relying on just vaping. I never promised myself that I would quit analogs but that was my reason for trying vaping. Once I ordered and did the math I added the money I would be saving to the list of reasons to quit. I had about a half a pack left when my ecigs came in. I puffed those most of the night and considered whether to grab a back up pack but decided just to see how I would do if I had none available. If it was a problem for me the analogs were as close as the C-store. That was over 3 weeks ago. I haven't even missed it. I LOVE that I'm not running out to buy smokes, or worrying about whether I need them! I smoked over 2 packs a day for over 20 years and have tried other nrt methods to quit. Now to cull down the nicotine strength! ;)

Good Luck, it will come in good time.

How long were you before you switched completely?

I got my 510 on the 17th around 4pm and sat outside doing the left hand, right hand thing pretty much the rest of the night. On the 18th I had a Camel Filter with my morning coffee because I just really didn't trust that the 510 could get me through the morning coffee routine. Went on to begin my day with the attitude, "calm down, try to resist, just do the best you can...etc.etc.etc) so I "tried to resist" the rest of the day. HA!
vaped happily all that day and never looked back. :thumb:

It took me several weeks. Let the cigarettes quit you. If you have to smoke one, smoke it. But eventually you are going to prefer the cleaner, healthier PV running your life. I love it as I was a 40 year + heavy smoker.

Thanks everyone, I'm just worrying I won't switch over all together. Always glad to hear of those who took some time to switch completely.

Still hard to believe all those heavy duty smokers just stopped.

Believe it. I still sneak one every now and again in the garage with my girlfriend when she is down just to be social (she is in Jersey, I am in Missouri--I fly her in about every 90 days).

But I don't smoke at all the other 99% of the time.

I just can't get her on ecigs.....It's like, Baby, you can't inhale and push the button at the same time?

Her: "Cough...cough"

Remember inhale into your mouth first.

Her: "What's the matter now?"

You have to push the button!

I have a heavy cross to bear.
