I've been vaping for 11 months now. Like many of us, I went from 510's to the Ego-T, then finally to mods. I've had box mods, juice feeders, and variable voltage, but never owned the "workhorse" of the vaping world: The Silver Bullet.

I figured "I'm a vaper now, for good, why not pick up the one mod everyone is proud to have in their collection?" Almost a status mod. So I picked one up off the classifieds on impulse.

It finally got here today and, I have to say, I shouldn't have waited so long. It's easily the most solid device I own. Everything about it screams class. I got the silver vein finish, and it's perfect. It feels great in your hand, and has a little bit of flash without having to wipe fingerprints off of chrome.

Anyway, I'm incredibly satisfied. I've been a little caught up with VV, and it's refreshing to have a mod I can just throw a LR atty or tank on and be completely content. No fiddling, No fuss. I see myself picking up a kick somewhere down the line, but it's satisfying enough as is.

That's all, I'm just happy to finally be part of the club.

Welcome to the Silver Bullet family. I'm 9 weeks totally smoke free myself. I too started with the cig-look-alikes (Smokeless Image Volts), but very quickly tired of needing to change batteries so frequently. I wanted my first mod and wanted to experience using tanks, too. Did a fair amount of research here at ECF and YouTube. I wasn't interested in higher voltage. I liked what I had read about the SB and BB and couldn't decide between the two. Long story short, I got one of each. I use the big XXXXL dual coil Smoktech cartos that AltSmoke sells. I also have several DCT pro tanks (polypropylene) in 3 and 6 ml size. I don't drip on an atty, too time consuming. I like to put on one of the big cartos or tanks and be done with it.

Hadn't given much thought to higher voltage until I was able to experience it first hand a couple of weeks ago at AltSmoke's new store in Columbus, Ohio. I was very impressed, the vape was as strong as smoking an analog, and started reading up on that. I have a couple 4.8 v batteries on order from here:
4.8V NiMH 600mah Battery
I haven't been impressed with what I've read about the Kick. It seems to be sold out frequently and the SB needs an expensive extension tube for it to work. The 5 volt battery seems safe ("safe chemistry battery") to use in the SB (and is the same size as the 18650). If you decide to go this route, be sure to get the dedicated charger for this battery. This distributor is the only one that I have found that sells this charger that lets you know when the battery is charged. Also get the correct resistance carto or atty for the higher wattage that you'll be using.

Anyway, enjoy your SB, I know I do mine. The BB is also very nice, more portable and stealthy, but just as satisfying with just a little less battery time.
