So I took the plunge like a day before I found this site. Bleh I ended up goign with an SE GOLD. I talked to the online rep till they cut me the deal of:

2x SE GOLD Kits
2x Vanilla 5pack carts

for $120 (later realizing I overpayed)
When I recieved my product I realized they gave me tobacco flavor carts instead of vanilla so I messaged them and they said theyd send out some vanillas on monday.

Anyways they had fast ... shippign and I got it in 2 days (probably because their warehouse I found out is like 20 minutes from my house -_-)

I got it and assembled it, went together pretty easily, the look is nice, but now I realized a nice black ecig would look better. I put on a cart and took a few puffs. Semms pretty nice, I love the feel of it.

After realizing around the forums that I made a bad ecig choice I decided I'm gonna sell or trade my other SE GOLD and probably gift this one to my dad. I'm looking into a 510 or something after all the reccomendations, just waiting for some cash.

Someone was also willign to try and mix me some flavors to send me. I realized this is gonna be a long enjoable road for me :) I'm ready to make it worhtwhile hopefully with help from the forums. Thanks again guys and if anyones interested in helping me get some flavors or in my SEGOLD let me know :)

Just realize that if you're trying to quit smoking, don't rush it. Just let it happen. Vaping more than you used to smoke is normal. What you will discover is that your need to smoke a cigarette will wane with time. For me it was vape all day, smoke a couple of cigs during the day. Then it was vape all day smoke one cig during the day. And lately it's just vaping. Soon your cravings for a cig will be easily dealt with by reminding yourself to vape instead of smoke.

As for hardware, the kits are a good starting point, if not a bit over priced but, that's to be expected with anything new. There are plenty of modded personal vaporers with better vaping characteristics that might interest you. For me, mods are desirable for 2 reasons: Cost and better vaping quality.

From a cost perspective mods usually rely on generic Li-ion batteries. For less than the price of one eGo replacement battery I can buy two sets of generic batteries and a charger. Which I did and just received today.

As for vaping quality the mods will generally produce better vapor, flavor and/or longer vaping between charges.

So, welcome to the club. Feel free to explore.

P.S. I wouldn't concern myself with the ecig you purchased. Granted I haven't read anything on your particular model but it doesn't mean it's a bad choice unless it is outrageously expensive. So you may want to just stick with it until you decide if making your own mod or purchasing a pre-made mod is something you want to do. There are a number of advantages to mods over commercial mass produced ecigs like juice boxes that allow you to always have a supply of juice and easily add more juice to your atomizer (atty).

Well In general, It's alot niceer, to me it feels alot cleaner than an analog just because as I smoke a cig I constantly think of these chemicals burning up.

I seem to like the SE so far even though people mention its not too great, but thats probably because it's my first ecig. I'm deciding wether to wait a few days for my new carts or liquid or whatever to come in or if i should rush to the mall and just spend some excess cash and just pick up a 5pack of carts because they sent me the wrong flavor in the mail and I don't like it.

I like vaping, lots more fun than analogs :p and I can vape indoors, I would refuse to smoke indoors or in my car in the first place. It's pretty enjoyable and seems liek a lot of fun to experiment with

It is a lot of fun. There's also a lot of maintenance: filling carts, charging batts, cleaning fluval, cleaning attys, etc. But, it becomes a routine like anything. If you like it for that kind of stuff then you would definitely enjoy modding.

Haven't learned about cleaning fluval or attys yet, but everything else seems fine. I go charge crazy with all my devices anyways, whenever their not in use their charging. As for flavors and all, I kinda find loading them and stuff half the fun. Sure it will get repetitive a lot but the more and more I read about mixing and stuff It seems I'll have a lot of fun with it.

As for modding, I don't really know how I'd go about modding as I'm not too great with mechanics (if thats the sense of modding your referring to)

EDIT: Thanks BR, Those are the same attys. I'll def bookmark that link.

As most of the people here, I tend to suggest a joye 510 for a starter kit, but the SEgold AKA RN4081 is a reasonable product (although ridiculously overpriced for its quality).

I started on it, and liked it at first, but while the attys do last friggin forever they don't work very well after the initial few weeks. (for the price of replacements, that's just ghastly compared to other models which respond better to cleaning)

Honestly, if you're into the idea of trying out a few the next one I'd suggest is definitely a 510. They're available for around 50 dollars just about anywhere online, and often you can get better deals than that. Try madvapes.com if you just want a quick site to grab one from, their pricing is almost always phenomenal.

As far as mods..it isn't nearly as difficult as it looks. If you know the absolute basics of batteries and the use of superglue, solder helps too...you can make a passable box mod at 3.7 volts that will provide MUCH longer time between charges.
