Yes, thats right :D

I put my eGo's on the shelf and found my new favorite!

An istick 50w fitted with a new KangerTech Subtank

I'm set at 4.1v @ 14.0w using the 1.2 Ω coils, with 2 hole ventilation

Subohming and dripping are eventual steps on my vaping road- call me silly but I consider them semi-sacred realms

I am posting some videos on youtube, just because I think it would be fun to do.

Any suggestions? or ideas? feel free to post or message me

Thanks for checking out my post :2cool:

My first post but thought I would chime in on this thread because I just got an istick 50w today with an aspire Atlantis, coming up from an istick 20w/mini nautilus combo. This is a sub ohm atomizer, which I would not be able to effectively use on the 20w istick. I am running it at only 25w and all I can say is wow! Exceptional flavor and a really clean vape with an impressive cloud to boot. This is most definitely the best vape I have had yet, I have no desire at this point for anything more powerful than this, it is just awesome.

This is something that can be done with any mod over 20w I would assume, but the istick is a solid, compact, powerful mod that feels great in the hand. Time will tell how well it holds up and battery life (though I'm pretty sure I could use this for at least 2 days between charges). Taking this last step to a sub ohm tank, I think I have found my sweet spot.

Thanks for this post! I was planning to order the same setup and am glad to hear you're enjoying it so much.
Guess I'll pull the trigger.
Stepping up from istick 20, and briefly considered the 30w, before seeing specs on both.
I might one day move up to dripping, but I feel I'll be where I want to be with the istick 50 with the Atlantis, for awhile....especially after your post.
I know this is all subjective, though.
Vape on !

Some updates if you care to lend an ear

Been trying some new flavors and still figuring out where to put my volts/watts.

I use 1.2Ω coils but i get the occasional "burnt flavor" which is very recognizable.

Additionally, I do rebuild my coils (which has been a journey in itself)

26 ga. Kanthal 7 wraps, its the only way i get 1.2Ω coils with under 2mm spacing

I run my 50w @ 4.1v - 4.4v with my vents either wide open or 2 hole.

Maybe I am dragging too hard or too light?

I have seen "charts" but they start at 1.5Ω coils at 8.5v, the 1.2Ω is suggested at around 3.3v/9w?

am I completely off the mark here? and my vapor clouds are smaller than my pen style -

Being new with this setup and trying to use a step method to find where its ok but I feel I am not doing this right-

Thanks for taking time to give suggestions

Pump up the watts and see if you get more vapor.

I have an iStick 50 on the way. I really like the iStick 20 + Nautilus mini combo I have so far - very compact and easy to carry. Watched some youtube reviews and am leaning towards the Kanger Subtank Mini for compactness. Do anybody who posted think the iStick 50 + Aspire Atlantis (or Kanger Subtank) is too large (esp. carrying it around or using while driving)? Thanks.

A friend and I tried rebuilding the .5 ohm coil last night but just the cotton not the wire. I kept getting burned hits, finally I snipped the cotton really close to the head on both sides and tucked it in where most say to leave some out. This solved the dry wick problem, but I still had a strange taste, my theory was I had to break it in like my recently purchased aero coils. I gave the mod to my buddy who vaped enough to kill a horse and behold it tasted great when I got it back. Hope you figure it out!
