My ego came in after a week of waiting, damn columbus day. I also got a bunch of diy stuff and some Newport juice from my freedom smoke, man that stuff is strong. Anyway a question, after mixing a batch of diy juice I noticed they don't seem to have much flavor, I used a 7% flavor mix. Now I read on here you need to let it sit so the flavor can diffuse, how long should I let it sit before I get a good flavor? If it helps I'm using tpa flavors from onestopdiyshop.

Umm what was your mixture recipe?
Do you know your starting NIC juice -- was it PV or VG based.
If you used to much VG -- it thins out the flavors and you have to add more flavorings

I use this simple calculator: eJuice Recipe Calculator

Nic Base = 36mg
target = 18mg
Amount to create 2.6ml (Always leave .4ml empty in bottles to allow shake & mix juice)
Water added = 2% (help thins out the VG)
flavor percent = 9% depending on your taste.

Start with a 3ml PLASTIC DROPPER bottle

Add 1.3ml of PG - 36mg NIC
Add 1.0ml of VG (opposit from NIC base)
add 0.1ml of DISTILLED water (helps thin the VG)
and 0.2ml of flavor
---------------

Shake and mix -- then do a drip onto the atty and see if this flavor works for you.
If not enough flavor add more in 0.05 increments.
shake & mix, repeat until you like flavor.
---------------
Keep track of how much you add -- write the recipe down for remixing in the future.
I use Index cards for my recipes.

Your measure recipe is not getting enough flavoring.

Are you using a 5 or 6ml bottle?
What mg of NIC do you want to go down to?

I always leave .4ml available in bottle for shaking & mixing. -- If you prepare in a bigger bottle and then you can use the entire 5ml/6ml in bottle for juice.

I recalc'd based on your 2.0 nic in a 5ml bottle (leaving .4 air) --- this becomes a 26mg NIC
Based on 2.0ml of 60mg NIC 50/50 pg/vg
---PG (no nic) should be 1.7ml of PG
0.0ml of water
---Flavoring should be 0.9ml of flavor

I recalc'd based on your 2.0 nic in a 5ml bottle (no air) --- this becomes a 24mg NIC
Based on 2.0ml of 60mg NIC 50/50 pg/vg
---PG (no nic) should be 2.0ml of PG
0.0ml of water
---Flavoring should be 1.0ml of flavor

==================================
~~~Based on my calc for a 5ml for 18mg NIC (leaving .4 air)
Add 1.4ml of 60mg NIC 50/50 pg/vg
Add 2.3ml of PG (no nic)
add 0.0ml of water
and 0.9ml of flavor
~~~Based on my calc for a 6ml for 18mg NIC (leaving .4 air).
Add 1.7ml of 60mg NIC 50/50 pg/vg
Add 2.8ml of PG (no nic)
add 0.0ml of water
and 1.1ml of flavor

Split the juice you made into 2 bottles evenly -- or into a bigger bottle.

Then add more flavorings (no more than total of .08ml between the 2 new bottles) then re-taste.
Having a little more PG (no nic) just gives it a little more flavor.

It is better to add just a little flavor each time, then to over flavor and have to continue diluting or throw out.

Thanx for your help I figured it out… no where near enough flavor. I wanted to keep track of my exact measurements so I just started over wrote it off to a learning curve. Remixed using 20% flavor instead of 7 and wow what difference, that's the flavor explosion I was expecting. Now I just have to figure out which flavors to buy that I will get the most recipes out of, I don't wanna go an buy 40 flavors and end up using half or a quarter of that... Well at least not yet. :)
