Hi everyone yesterday i bought my new setup after my failed attemp with iStick50W+SubtankMini. Here is my iStick30+NautilusMini (and the cool replacement tank :p )

x1nino.png

I know I could have kept the iStick50 and/or reduce the nic on Subtank mini but this way its more portable and i wouldnt need to use lot of juice to fulfil my need of nicotine.

My first try was Jungle juice 50PG/50VG 12Nic. It gave a great throat hit and no scratchiness in my throat at all. Now its time to find the flavor i like the most..I couldnt be happier with my setup! Now i feel like i can able to get rid of the analogues!

I hope opening a thread for this is fine. I just wanted to share my happiness !! :toast:

There's a deal on vapingcheap.com for the Nautilus mini for 18 bucks.

I went on mt baker, bootleg, and ecblend and ordered a bunch of cheap flavors and tried all sorts of nic and pf/vg combos until I found a dozen or so I like a lot, and now I'm good for a while. It's nice having a bunch of flavors you like cause you can switch it up without having to wonder if you'll like it.

Maybe I'm missing something, but what went wrong with the Subtank mini?? That's my current favorite tank...

It is many peoples favourite tank. Im a newbie trying to quit smoking and as a pack a day smoker i need nicotine. Every eliquid i bought was over 12mg nic and subtank made a lot of scratchiness on my throat regardless of the flavour or the pg/vg ratio. I bought nautilus mini and all the eliquids i have used before feels good. :)

I have been actively researching the iStick for when I am ready to upgrade, but heavens, there is so much out there it is totally overwhelming..... and often confusing! :(

Don't think twice about an istick. I have a 20 and 30w. I don't need 50w and I like smaller sized gear. I haven't touched my other mods since I got the istick and I have some nice ones. I don't miss taking out and charging batteries all the time. Love the USB charge and the form factor + battery life gives a lot of bang for the buck.

Regulated mods under $50 all basically work the same. Even with tons of options on the market, the functionality doesn't vary all that much. The largest consideration is output range (watts) and battery life (mah's). General rule of thumb with mah's is each 100mahs = 30-60 minutes (or more if you are a light vaper) of real life vape time. What you screw on top of your mod is the real mind bender....

Thanks Bob. The one reason I was looking at the iStick is because of some juices that I have coming. I have a relative who has fallen of the wagon and has given me an ego but I've ordered some tobacco and citrus flavours and I've been reading that those have a tendency to crack the plastic clearomizers. Told you it was all so confusing. :D

Ah, I think you may have two things confused. Istick is just the battery. The tank in the picture is a Nautilus. I agree about glass. All my tanks are glass. One consideration with tanks nowadays is coil replacements. Nautilus are proprietary and not the cheapest or interchangeable outside of the Aspire brand. I prefer Kanger aerotanks and the cheaper version, genitanks. My wife likes mini-protank 3's and mini-genitanks so we use the same coils and it makes life easier. I order my replacement coils from china where they cost 1.20/each. I order 60 at a time and each one lasts 7-10 days. I'm almost 100% sure I would like the nautilus lineup of tanks but it would add extra parts in the parts bin so I keep things simple.

I have checked the price of nautilus mini coils and it seems to be around 4each. Is it safe to use coils made by other manufacturers?

5 pack for $9.95. I know it says regular price is 14.95 and they are on sale for $9.95 but it has been that way for over 3 months. I have ordered from this site twice now and they are legit.

I love the Nautilus Mini and iStick combo. I only worry about the "new and improved" BVC coils with the all cotton wicks and larger wicking holes. They seem to flood for the "Toodle Puffers" (those that prefer tight draw, low wattage, MTL hits). I won't know until my 20 old coils are used up whether or not they will work for me.

In the mean time I bought a GS Air and that seems to be working well. Just wanted a back up device in case the new Nautilus coils fail me.

And he can also plan ahead (expect a few weeks shipping) and just order from Fasttech ($10.40 for a 5-pack). When I started using the Nautilus, I was using the next to smallest air opening and using lower power settings as well. The problem with the tighter draw is that increasing the power means you get a burnt taste to the juice. Now I have gotten used to it and have been using the largest air opening and upped the power. I am getting more vapor now and the draw is still tight enough that I can do MTL hits.

After i post here i saw another thread about organic cotton coils for nautilus mini. I checked mine and it seems more like the organic cotton one. Holes are around 2mm. Is there a way to be sure?
