Hi all

Bit of background - I started with a basic beginner kit from a local e cig shop and have been hooked ever since. It is a standard 900mA ego battery. Bought a mini protank 3 but had issues with flooding so purchased a pt3. It's good; but I want better.

Honestly I just want a good set up that I can pick up and smoke without having to fiddle around with. I want it to smoke and taste like a hooka/shisha.

Before everyone tells me get a provari, I don't have the funds. And I'm not really interested in VV devices. I understand however that to stop my vape from tailoring off when the battery runs low I may need one. But purely for that reason. Not to mess around with voltage/wattage.

Currently I have a vamo v5 in my sights and like the reviews I've read about the aspire nautilus.

Suggestions please!

I mean, it sounds like you want vv/vw. I don't know why you think that you don't want it, wether it seems overly complicated or whatever, but it's not just for fiddling around with, it's for improving the quality of your vape and tailoring it to your tastes. What you're saying you want, and what you're saying you don't want, are the same thing.

You want, a customized good vape tailored to your tastes that you can just pick up and hit.

You don't want, the ability to customize your vape to be a good vape tailored to your tastes that you can just pick up and hit.

Could you explain further why you don't want vv/vw?

Also, heard good things about the nautilus.

VW is kind of a set it and forget it if you like say 8watts it will run 8watts on any ohm topper you put on it! Just sayin. I like my MVP for that 2600mah battery great life. But my mech and rda give me my best vape. When I started rebuilding my PT2 coils that was the single best advancement in vape quality from clearos!! I myself have not found a factory piece that gives the quality of vape I'm looking for!! I hope you find something that suits your needs without tinkering with it.
Cheers!

One thing you'll find out about this hobby... vaping, is that it's very subjective. Especially regarding which hardware to buy and atomizers, clearomizers, RBAs, etc.

Even more subjective when it comes to eliquids... just saying.

The biggest variable are the tanks, atomizers, etc., those will take the most experimenting on your part.

I could tell you what is perf for me, you have to find out what is perfect for you. The vamo has had some problems with threading on the 510 and heard it's just not too great. Not bashing anyone that has one, Check out the Innokin SVD

The innokin looks very promising actually; a lot of positive reviews. Will definitely consider it. Just wish it didn't look light a light sabre!

Lol. I think I'm confused. It does seem that a VV would be perfect for my needs. I guess the tinkering I was talking about was more my experience with coils and wicks. I guess I could set and leave.

Hi setmeadrag :)

I can tell you that my experience has found 2 fiddle free (well mostly :) lol) setups. One is very budget friendly. MVP2 and a good cartotank. Personally, I would steer you away from the SVD as an "only and every day" device. It does outperform vamo IMO for durability but the fire button is weak. I have one and it lasted an OK amount of time but now it only fires when you push the button *just right*. Threads and construction are great on it otherwise.

MVP2 + Cartotank can be had together for 74.37 + shipping. (mvp, cartotank, 10 prepunched boge cartomizers and a drip tip. Oh and the topper that comes with the MVP2)

Hand Blown Borosilicate Glass 5ml Vapor Tank

You neednt use those vendors should you not want to, and an IBTanked is definitely a higher preference. I know that specific cartotank (i have several) so I feel comfortable using it for a recommendation. If nothing else use it as an idea or starting point in your hunt :)

Consider an SVD... its mainly SS construction. Vamo's have chromed brass 510 threads and since the metal is "soft" the threads wear out considerably faster than SS material. And dont drop a Vamo ( any of them) they die easily from dropping...

Yeah an SVD seems to be the most recommended so far. Would it be worth keeping my pt3 and trying it with my next mod before buying another tank?

If you have Ego batteries already, why not just pick up some cartomizers. Boge cartos are good. Very consistant and no fiddling. Just fill them and keep them topped off.

Because the power just dies off. Might consider cartos though.

Honestly I've always wanted one that resembled a cigarette somewhat which is why I went for the mini PT2. And I know the SVD is even further away, but I definitely don't want a box.

We got the MVP for the wife. She's not a "fiddle" type vapor either. You can use your exsisting tank or any other you might want. it has ego and 510 threads. Good luck on your quest, and the main thing is to avoid the stinkies.

OOPS. Just read you didn't want a box.

Heh - no worries. All suggestions are good suggestions! Except that one... that one wasn't so good :p

After experimenting this last year I have chosen the Joye eGo C Twist (love it) and Pro Tank 2 - I love the easy smooth draw. This combo isn't terribly expensive and gives me a nice draw and vapor. For ejuice I use Welcome to Vermillion River Premium E-Juice because you can have a great set up but if the ejuice isn't any good then none of it will be. Their Kentucky Blends are awesome along with their KY4 and Kmax, but they have a lot to choose from.

That pretty much sums it up. We are all different in what we like & don't like. All I can say is buy quality stuff if you want it to last.

There's almost nothing out there that's really good and you don't have to fiddle with. That Vamo will do the trick, it's good enough to get a nice vape. Your topper has to be something reliable though. I think you need a carto/tank combo. Maybe the Nautilus, I haven't tried that yet, my USPS postwoman ....*h lost it somewhere and I'm out $35.

Whew, just a mini rant. Go with the carto/tank IMO. Maybe the Nautilus but I WOULDN'T KNOW BECAUSE... !!!

Sorry Original Poster don't mean to get off topic.

To eMats: If my mail lady lost a Nautilus, after seeing all the great reviews on it...ohhhh...I don't think I could ever look at my mail lady again. I would be sooo mad man. That Nautilus is siicckk.. I am not trying to make you feel bad either by saying that...Just saying...

I wouldn't definately pin that problem on the mail lady and see if they can get you a refund so you can get another Nautilus!!!!

Hmm.. All I know is I would definately not get ripped like that. I would definately do something about a 35$ loss.. and its not only the loss of money, but such a good item as well. Tell your mail lady you need something done about this.... This was not your fault to begin with!
