Finding No-Resistance wire?

I'm doing some ViVi Nova rebuilding and I've found a good source for Kanthal A1 resistance wire so I have that taken care of, I just need no-resistance wire.

...and as you can probably guess, that isn't the easiest term to google and COV is out of stock, has been for a while. Are there any local USA sources for this wire?

Instead of using no-resistance wires for the legs, you can just fold the legs of the resistance wire and twist them. This would lower /half the resistance on the legs making them not heat up as much as the coil.

Or if you have a dead dual coil or CE2, you can salvage the conducting wires from them and use those as no-resistance wires for your Vivi Nova.

You can also find some stuff at Hobby Lobby or similar. It would be in the jewelry making section, beading wire. I got some strling silver wire there. 28g was smallest they had though.

Radio Shack has 30ga wire wrapping wire that is silver plated and works well.

Every time I've tried this I would get a bad taste and weak vapor. I think it heats the grommet. But, I'd do it in a pinch for immediate gratification if NR wire wasn't handy.

I have heard its bad to use copper wire in anything around liq. I am currently using 2 copper legs for no-res wire. Im planning on getting some of the wire either from radioshack or hobbylobby or local hobby store but how bad is it really to use it?

On an atomizer head like from the Vivi Nova, the connection is not exposed to the liquid, so it may not be an issue. On a CE2, CE3 or CE5 the connections will get exposed due to how the wire is routed in the Clearomizer.

75 cents per 80 inches. Im not sure if this is what you looking for. This is to replace the wire in his Phoenix style rebuildable atomizer. I had a hard time finding wire myself until I found them there.

ive recoiled a ce3s about 10 times using nr wire(which measured .3ohms no matter the length) and every time the connector has heated up to boiling and the vapour wimpers off after 2 or 3 puffs. anyone know the reason or if im doing somthing wrong?

ive even doubled up the nr wire and twisted and still no luck....the first couple of toots are really good though.

0.16 mm nicochrome....although i used the nr wire to coil a t-shape ss wick into a bulli t clone and it(nr wire) glowed red which i found weird

High temperature wires used for heaters, hair fans etc made from nickel. They usually have fiberglass outer coating. Good for non-resistance wires in atomizers. You can recognise a nickel wire - it looks like stainless steel or silver - shiny white.
