Finding the right atty

I currently have 5 tornado batteries. I purchased a few TORNADO tank - 1.7 LR Cone Shaped Atomizer from Totally Wicked. I like the LR and the tank system. I received the attys and started using the first one about 9 days ago and I am starting to get a burnt taste. I did some math and if mine and my husbands atty's average about 10 days, at Totally wicked prices that will be around $78 per month just for attys (6 at 12.99 each). I also purchased some of the 2.4ohm clearomizers. The flavor was a little better then the 1.7 LR tank atty, but the TH and Vapor on the 1.7 LR tank atty pleased me more.

So does anybody know of a cheaper place to get the LR tank atty's or maybe a different choice all
together?

I've been direct dripping attys since 2008.

Now my attys are practically obsolete.

Weapons of choice:

3.7v PV that can pass at least 2 amps fitted w/ 1.6 ohm dual coil cart. Produces a warm dense powerful vapor. Vapor production far exceeds analog. Top off every hour or so.

3.2-3.7v run of the mill ecig fitted w/ 2.6 ohm CE2-X rev 5 thick tube wall fluxomizer. Produces a lighter clean tasting vape. Vapor production similar to analog. Control TH w/ nic as usual.Top off every few hours.

Have you tried just regular LR's on the tornado and dripping for better taste and longer atty life? Most attys can last months if they are 510 or 306 for the tornado. Litelcigsusa.net, ikenvape, cignot, puresmoker, avidvapor and a host of others..

I have a drawer full of about 100 regular 510 atty's (none are LR) purchased about 1.5 years ago. I should note that I vaped for about a year and then unfortunately went back to analogs for about a year. I have been back to vaping for about 2 weeks and down to only smoking 2 analogs (hoping to make it zero soon, but I was a pack and half day smoker for 25 years, so I am happy) I'm not sure why I stopped vaping, but I have a feeling it had something to do with the dripping, modding, tea bags, breaking in an atty, cleaning, blowing, boiling etc. I know that sounds lame, but it just got very difficult and fustrating. My kitchen turned into a mini labatory of hypo needles, cut up tea bags, straws etc.

When I last vaped there were no LR choices, tanks, clearo's etc. Basically you had a cartridge with filler or you dripped.

Now that I am back I have found that the tank seems to solve some of the fustration that made me stop. Fill the tank and vape. 3 to 5 hours later repeat and vape! Much less fustrating. Still a little bummed that an atty needs to be broken in, but you can't have everything!

Maybe when I am off analogs 100% for a while I will start looking at modding my equipment or dripping again, but right now I am looking for the most hassle free atty at the best price. So far the lr tank seems to fit the hassle free requirement, I'd just like to know where I can by the longest lasting ones for the best price!

I did order 5 Clear tube LR dual coils 510's they should be here Saturday. But I have no clue how long these will last or even how to use them. (Hope they come w/ directions if need be)

Of course if someone knows of an atty that would better fit what I am looking for... I am all ears!

The dual coil cartos are easy to use, but won't come with instructions. - Pull the rubber plug out of the end. Drip about 30 drops around the edges trying not to let juice run down the center tube. let sit for 10 or 15 minutes. Drip another 20 or so drops around the edges the same way. Let sit another 10 or so minutes. Screw on to your battery, pop on your drip tip, and vape away. - The dual coils hold somewhere between 1.5 and 1.8 ml.

How long they last is very juice dependent. I have a couple of juices that will plug up a dual coil in a couple of days, but I have a DC on my PV right now that has been in use for about 9 days. I fill three cartos in the morning before I go to work and I carry a 3ml bottle for quick top-offs if I need to. This style of carto is fairly easy to fill and as "hassle free" as it gets, I think.

If overfilled they will leak.
I agree w/ six but I would consider a total of number of drops closer to 40.
You will have air pockets; I learned this the hard way.
Generally clear juice wont clog as bad as dark flavors.
Juice that is mostly PG is thin and will wick better.
I've been using mostly 90% PG.
I tried 70% PG and it worked.
It is good to add a few drops now and then but you don't have too.
It is good to wait a few seconds between toots.
Nic dosage is higher w/ dual coils; I had to reduce nic level in juice.
Performance of analog can't touch dual coil at 3.7v IMO.


I'd say vape time is between 1-4 hours on one fill.

Sounds simple enough... I am hoping I like these better then the LR Tanks! Even if they dont last quite as long as the tank attys, at $2.00 each they are a better deal the $12.99 for the LR tanks I am paying... Wish I could find a place that sells the LR tanks cheaper.

I have a feeling you won't need those tanks after trying dual coil. They rock.

When I'm in the mood for lighter vape I pick up the CE2-X 5.

Well now you have me excited for the mail to get here on Friday!

I have a few packs of the clear CE2 X5's in the vaping drawer, but they were lacking in TH for my taste. They weren't that bad though and I am keeping them handy for a rainy day!

I just can't believe how complicated this habbit got in the year I was not doing it! All the different atomizer types and choices has my head spinning! Wish they made a "Vaping for Dummies" book!
