Super picky vaper here. I've tried so many models and brands and have really struggled looking for the perfect vape for me. I think I've found it.

The eGo with the mega cone and carts are working wonderfully. It is very different than anything else I've tried. The draw is very smooth and easy. It is easy to fill and seems to last forever.

Watch out though. If you have juice that you just kind of like, it seems like flavors come through more true and you will find that mediocre juice becomes "cant stand it" juice, LOL.

For example, "cream" flavors that I think are okay on the regular 501 for short vaping taste like spoiled milk on the ego with the mega carts lol! I know the spoiled milk thing is my own idiosyncrasy, it doesn't bother most of my vaping friends.

The mega atomier looks like the cone cover for the ego but it is an atomizer instead of just the cover. The mega carts that fit it look like giant 501 carts. It really doesn't make the eGo any bigger. The draw is easier and you get way more vapor and flavor and one cart lasts me about six hours with no refilling. I'm a convert.

thank you kindly for explaining in a way that i understand. so one cart lasts you six hours without refilling? wow. how many drops does it hold without flooding it?
sounds like it might be worth the price!!
which supplier do you buy yours from?

I got mine at Cignot. I like them for hardware because they ship fast and are very professional. The website says the mega carts hold 1.5 mL. I put around 35 drops in and I haven't managed to overfill one yet. The atomizer took some direct dripping to warm up, the bridge is large so it took about 4 drops and some puffing to get it "primed." I've had problems in the past with melting carts with the ego and a regular 501 atomizer but I haven't had that problem at all with the mega carts.

With the regular 501 attys and carts on the eGo, it seemed like I was constantly having to fiddle with things to get it right. The atty dried out too fast, the cart wasn't lined up perfectly or was made irregularly and got melty and having to preload many blank carts in the morning and then keep track of everything all day.

Right now I'm loading two mega carts in the morning and with two full eGo mega cigs, I'm good for the day. You don't need the mega batteries to make this work. It feels like freedom not to have to mess with the small cartridges constantly throughout the day.

I was kicking around the idea of trying the mega cart with blue plug filler. I'm sure someone has already tried it but I haven't been able to find anyone posting results. I may pull out some old juice that I don't mind wasting and see if it works.

Hope this helps.

thank you SO much and i will certainly place an order asap!
sounds like this is the answer to maximize my vaping experience on the already powerful eGo!

I really like them too. Saves carrying little bottles around all day. Easier to fill than mega cartos too. Only problem I had was I cut the polyfill in half to get more juice in it (yeah like 1.5 mls ain't enough:blink:) and got a pocket full of juice. Smelled like banana nut bread all day.
I advise don't mess with the filler.:)
I got mine from Rob at Good-Prophets he actually gives 30 day warranty on them.

I find the Ego Cartomizer works even better than the Ego atty..

Ego Cartomizers... sigh.. I think I mentioned I'm super picky? Cartomizers start tasting burned to me after about 10 puffs. I can taste burn with poly fill after about 30 puffs on a normal cart. Just tried modding blue plug with the mega cart with great success. I've been vaping for an hour with no burning taste. Yipeeee!

Different Strokes for different folks!

I tried the mega carts/attys for my Tornado and found the taste very harsh. While I can certainly appreciate the extra capacity, it does not seem to work for me.

I also played around with different cart mods: straw, highping, blue foam and they did not seem to help much.

You are probably very right about the juice type having a big influence on whether or not the mega carts work. I DIY and am now mostly into the non fruit flavors unless blended with something else like cheesecake. 6 weeks ago, I was big on watermelon apple.

My base juice is 77/20/3 PG/VG/Alcholol mixed with a 100 mg nicotine blended in 80/20 PG/VG to bring the final concentration of nicotine to 14 mg. Flavor strength can vary all over the place. Some require very little, some require a lot.

I vape the 9o1 on my Screwdriver and 510 on my Tornados and Mega Titans. Even between the 901 and the 510 I do notice a taste difference with the same juice with the 901 giving me more of a carbonated beverage taste.

In the end, it is what works for the individual that counts. The only thing that really counts is that I am now going on 5 months without tobacco.

Can you tell me why you add alcohol to your mix? Does it improve flavor or throat hit?

i told my sister who vapes using eGo about these mega carts and attys. she swears that they are only compatible with an eGo XL, so me and her cant use them (we have the regular eGo). also she wants a tapered tip on the cart (she says she tryin to avoid "lemon lips" is what she calls wrinkles around her lips from "pursing")...i cant really tell for sure, but do these mega carts have tapered tips? (that is, if they are compatible with a regular eGo).
thanks!

I adore the eGo attys and cartomizers, but I'm not sure we're all on the same page here. The attys and cartos I have are made specifically for the eGo-type e-cig. They are HUGE...same diameter as the eGo and hold approx. 2 to 2.5 mls of e-liquid. I get confused when folks use the terms "mega" and "XL" because, to me, those terms refer to the attys/cartos that are regular diameter and just longer. I use 2 eGos - one with the eGo atty and one with the eGo carto - and they last me a full day, plus some. Flavor and vapor are excellent. No burned/off taste ever, just a decrease in vapor and it's time to refill.

Heaven Gifts has all of their eGo stuff on sale now...Joye eGo Heaven Gifts
