Here is my delimma. As a noob we all can agree that finding your favorite juice is the most difficult and potentially expensive thing to do. Does anyone have an idea how to do this more efficiently? I know some vendors have 3ml samples which helps, but what about the ones that don't? I emailed Crystal Clear vaping to ask about a menthol and black and mild sample and was told it's a work in progress. I don't really want to waste much more money ordering unknown juice in the 10ml variety. :(

I feel your pain stevenejb..

Maybe make a list of e-juice vendors that people highly recommend and look for coupon codes or sales to pop up.

Have you thought about dabbing into DIY? Maybe you haven't found your favorite juice because YOU haven't created it yet! :)

You can also check the Classifieds and swaps section. I see people selling or wanting trade juice all the time.

It might also help if you let us know what kind of juices you're interested in. Maybe others can share their experiences with flavors that you're thinking about trying.

If you like sweets,
KickBassVapor E-Liquid has some amazing flavors (rice krispy and warm sugar cookies is to die for).

If you're looking for more of a tobacco-ish flavor, maybe check into
Backwoods Brew
or
want2vape Vapenstein Blend

They keep coming up on my radar when i'm searching for non-sweet juices.

Read the Eliquid reviews section.

If you are looking for a plain tobacco vape, Vaporstation Tampa is very popular. And once you find a plain tobacco vape you like you can change it up right in the cart or carto with other flavors like vanilla, chocolate or cocoa (most popular US cigs have cocoa in them), caramel or sweet RY4 like oRYental 4, peach or other fruits etc.

Many love RY4's and 555's but they all vary - some sweet, some not, some more tobacco tasting, some not at all

If you don't have a KR808D-1 but can get an adapter to 808, you can try carto sample packs from Vapor4Life and SmokelessImage to try many of their juices.

Some good liquids I use

Backwoods Brew Casablanca (my first all-day vape) though it is 70/30 and I now prefer 20% or less VG in cartos

Velvet Vapor Raspberry Gingerale (they also have plain) and almost dessert-like Vanilla Almond Tobacco

Vapor4Life WOWbacco (a cocoa tobacco) and WOW Vanilla (sharp edged and very sweet like cotton candy)

FreedomSmokeUSA oRYental 4, Pomegranate, and I drip (on a sealed manual battery) their 50/50 juices Hopscotch and Voodoo

Juicy Vapor B52 (tobacco and B52 cocktail)

I am still looking for that perfect recipe to emulate a Djarum Black. If anyone has any ideas on that. Or atleast the best alternative. But yes jp6608 has it right, definatly dig around in classifieds, and look over the DIY section here on ECF there is some pretty nice looking recipes being shared.

@SeeingClouds - Thanks for the info about KickBassVapor. I see another person also recommended them for sweet juices, so I may have to check them out. I noticed though that they seem to close their store frequently and only take orders on certain days. That may or may not become a nuisance if they're going to be a go to vendor.

@jp6608 - I haven't really given much thought to the DIY route yet since I'm so new to everything. I'm still trying to wrap my mind around all the other stuff available for vaping! :) I quickly browsed the classified section the other day and figure I might do that more just to get an idea of what's out there. As far as juices, I'm mostly interested in menthol stuff and finding a good tobacco juice. I also found I like Vanilla and the Fire~N~Ice (Juicy Vapors). While I like sweet juices for an occasional treat, I don't think I'll find one for a daily vape - so I just stick to menthol for that. The warm sugar cookies definitely sounds like it might be worth a look though!

@dormouse - I haven't heard of Vaporstation Tampa but will run over there and check out what they have! I haven't thought about mixing things up by adding juice to a tobacco favorite, so I'll make sure to keep that in mind. I have an ego-t with the tanks and then I use LR cartos with it 90% of the time. The Velvet Vapor Raspberry Gingerale, WOW Vanilla, and B52 sounds good though so I may have to run check those out as well.

I have a variety sample pack coming from Halo which I hope arrives tomorrow. I thought it would be here today! :( I'm thinking that I'll probably favor their menthols based on peoples reviews. I think I need to get the idea out of my head that I'm going to find one vendor to order all my juices from. :)

Thanks again for all of your replies!

Save yourself a lot of time and headache and make an order from Backwoods Brew and/or Vermillion River. Yes, the juice is a bit more than average on cost, but once you try it, you will understand why.

I keep seeing posts about Backwoods Brew and Vermillion River. Their prices don't seem all that bad really as I imagine you get what you pay for. I have a local vendor selling juice in various cig/liquor stores for $9.95 for 10ml which I think is too high for the quality, but it's convenient if I need something NOW. I'll have to give Vermillion River a look since they're only a couple States away from me. I like the idea of ordering from someone nearby so the shipping time is reduced. :)

Steve BWB will sell you 10 ml for 6.50. This is somewhat higher than from a non-exclusive juice vendor. Any brick and mortar store is going to probably charge you more. The BWB juice is produced by one and only one person. He takes care and time with it and gets his ingredients from a variety of sources. Especially if you like tobacco flavors, I would make an order with him asap. His coffee and fruit flavors are exceptional as well, but he specializes in tobacco blends.

I've only made the one order with Vermillion, but their stuff is really good too and priced on par w/ BWB.

I am relatively new to this too (about four months). I have splashed out on juices from freedom smoke USA, tasty vapor, ge cigarette and vaporite. I have had many disappointments, unfortunately. Some of the juices that others swear by taste awful to me. Taste is highly subjective so from now on I will only ever be buying sampler size bottles until I find one I like. I have a couple of 20 ml bottles of 'tobacco' flavored juice from various companies that for me are unvapable yet were purchased based on excellent reviews from other vapers.

My favorite flavors are actually coffee and chocolate flavors. The cafe mocha from tasty vapor and the double espresso from vaperite are both excellent, but strangely, the cafe mocha has a stronger coffee taste than the double espresso. I find these flavors are a much stronger representation of tobacco than 'tobacco' flavors are.

Definitely one of the hardest things. I just read reviews and watch videos. KickBassVapor has great reviews so I just started buying jooses from them. Got 4 on the way. Hummingbird Nectar - EVERYONE seems to love it.

Hummingbird is fricking brilliant.

At first I wasn't sure as I got alot of the flower taste but after a mild adjustment period (0mg nic mind you) I now have it as my all day vape.

I need to reorder soon as their site keeps going on "vacation"

I ordered their jolly park ranger 0MG (apple JR) and mix it with Ry4 (12MG) for an unbelievable taste.

Good luck!

I have longed for this and have found through extensive searching the best combo for this.

You mix tastyvapor's "Kretek" blend with "Anise" and it's pretty damn close. I use eliquidplanet's Essence line Astral Anisette. The combo varies but I would suggest something like 2:1 clove:anise...maybe even 4:1 depending on your taste. If your looking for a nice tobacco base I can't help you. I've tried texas tobacco from totally twisted and come cuban. I might try Ry4 as it mixes with sweet juices very well.

I've heard great things about 555 as well.

Personally the blend I mentioned is just fine and perhaps if I actually used nic juice in the clove it would be better.

Good luck!

Be careful though, I ordered from backwoods and don't like any of the juices so far.

I got the backwoods backo and it is extremely strong in flavor...like huffing a campfire full of hickory...WOAH!

I got their version of green apple and it is WAAAY floral.

Last was their blueberry and it was verrrrrrry faint.

I would just read more reviews and find someone who likes something you found nice to go along with.

Tastes vary a WHOLE lot when it comes to juices so don't let someone steer you wrong...even me.

You might be a strong flavor lover or a mild flavor lover......sample around and ask away here and there.

It isn't going to be an easy struggle. (I have 30 juices from 2x doubler down to 3ml trying to find the right ones ugggh)

Thankfully I now have about 5 juices I know for sure I'll reorder with regularity and cost me a whopping $30-40 every 6 months...what a savings! ( I used to spend $30 a month)

Good luck!

Taste is very subjective, and most importantly, remember that as a new vapor, your taste isn't back to normal yet. Don't buy big bottles of anything, because as your taste comes back, it may taste awful. It may taste better. Starting out everyone wants it to taste like a cigarette, and they want it to taste like their favorite cig. It can't be exactly like any cig, because you can't get the carbon monoxide, the tar, and the thousands of chemicals generated by combustion. If you are a coffee drinker, there are a lot of juices that coffee comes through well on. Sometimes citrus or fruit flavors are good for damaged taste buds.

I have a friend I introduced to vaping, he was 2 PAD Marlboro Red smoker for decades. He said "I don't want it to taste like anything, that's why God made chewing gum. I just want nicotine". He bought 30 ml of something vaguely tobacco-like, and is about half-way through it. I gave him a new carto, filled with 24mg orange, and he couldn't believe that it was so much better than what he had.

Just keep trying small amounts of different things, and remember to keep your atty/cartos clean or replaced between flavors. Sometimes 'mutt juice' of many things mixed together can be a divine accident, more often it just tastes bad.

There's a great video review from GrimmGreen on youtube.. TUNDRA vs PRO-THOL, BATTLE OF THE MENTHOLS! - YouTube
His review goes over two menthal flavored juices:

Prothol purchased from VaporCast Store
Tundra given to me from Johnson Creek Original Smoke Juice - The Best E-Liquid in the World - Made Right Here in America

I know next to nothing since I'm so new, but I do know this. The "Menthol Blast" juice from Volcano is incredible!!! It tastes like your are inhaling an Altoid!!! Really!!! Otherwise, I'm trying the VG line from Johnson Creek (PG seems to irritate a bit).
