Firefox help, please

I just got a new computer. I installed the latest version of Firefox, because IE doesn't have the very necessary spell check. Now I have to sign in to ECF, Yahoo mail, eBay, Facebook - everyplace - each and every time I go there. I have checked the "keep me signed in box", deleted all the old cookies and triued it again. I went to the Firefgox help site and did what they said (delete a file called cookies.sqlite) Nothing is working. Please help.

Well I don't have a new computer but I just added Firefox a couple of nights ago. Mine keeps me logged in but there have been a few pluggins I've had to add. Unfortunately most of the time it doesn't tell me what pluggin I need! Wish I could help you.... I'll at least give this a bump!

A likely cause is the file that stores cookies may be corrupt. To test this close Firefox, go to your profile folder and rename cookies.sqlite to cookies.tmp
Restart Firefox, log into those sites and then see if it remembers the logins.

Come to find out, it wasn't a cookie issue. The "keep me signed in" boxes are tied to "History" in Firefox. I had my history set to clear every time my browser closed. I changed that, and everything works fine now. Go figure.

Aw damn I was JUST about to tell you to change the history thing. Glad you got it fixed!! But I don't see why firefox team would tell you to delete that file... Very weird indeed. Have a good one
