Firefox New Paragraph Compatibility for Posts Broken

When using firefox, I'm using 9.0.1 now, paragraph breaks are ignored, posts get strung together as one long paragraph. For a long time this functionality was working fine, then for several weeks if you went back to edit a post you would see some of the control characters (like < / Br > for a line feed), now for the past several weeks any post just seems to get concatenated into the single paragraph. Something has broken in how the post text window is handled.

Cause found: Adblock Plus 2.0.3 under Firefox. It only has this odd action on an Edit Post, paragraph breaks removed, everything concatenates to one paragraph. The errant filter, under Ad Blocking Rules, is ||yui.yahooapis.com^

Im using FF 9.0.1 and not seeing any of the reported issue. Try disabling extensions and see if it is related to an extension.

You are not trying to use html in your posts are you?

It goes away when I switch to IE, only shows on FF. I see it whenever I Edit a post. (this should be showing on a new paragraph). I'll try editing this post after turning off the extensions I have running. I don't use many add-ons, but worth a try. Let's see what happens. {Correction -- the oddity appears on Edit Post, not on the initial post}

Quick reply actually went through cleanly, but when I Edited the post it took away the paragraph breaks. Right now this sentence is on a new paragraph; just now I've selected Edit Post, expect this new sentence fragment to force everything back into one paragraph. Just Removed User Agent Switcher (this should be a new paragraph). I've now disabled all other Extensions (this should be a new paragraph). reenabled Adblock Plus (new paragraph) redisabled adblock plus (new paragraph) reenabled flashblock (new paragraph) reenabled Ghostery reenabled IE Tab 2 recheck of Adblock Plus 2.0.3, to verify this is the culprit.

Adblock Plus 2.0.3 is what's doing it.

For whatever reason, an initial Quick Reply goes through fine, but whenever I go to Edit Post, paragraph breaks all get stripped. I'm curious what the underlying mechanism is, the difference between a Quick Reply vs. an Edit Post window. That it's Adblock Plus' presence that is causing the paragraph breaks to go away is bizarre

The editor works with Javascript, maybe Adblock sees it as an advert script, could be some similarities.

Good thought, I'll poke at it tomorrow, see if I can adjust some kind of adblock setting; most likely I can at least Whitelist. Thanks!

Found it. My Adblock Plus had one filter:
||yui.yahooapis.com^
that is interacting strangely with the Edit Post window. I disabled that filter, edit is working fine now
