Fires in Athens

Thanks suzi for this thread and all of you people that concern about me. Fires are an every year thing here. Last year was worse. The reasons for fires are 2.

1) Some smart guys want to build houses to burned places and some others wants to stop out tourism. You cant start a fire by a cigarette or a piece of glass, thats nonsense. Have you notice that fires starts everytime we have strong winds? Some people are murders. They kill the most precious thing in the planet. This is the earth they want to give to our children

It is good to see that even tho we may fight sometimes
when something really serious happens, like this,we all rally to help each other.

We also have these mad people in Australia, every summer when it is very hot, and the grass, and underbrush is tinder dry, there is always some idiot
who goes out and lights fires just for fun-----

some fun,-----
houses are lost, trees are burned, and mother earth is raped again,
how will dear mother earth survive to be a gift to our grandchildren -----

But worst of all this, people are killed, either in these deliberately lit fires,
or the brave souls who try to fight them to save property and lives
lose thier lives in their struggle to help others.

praise be for these brave people who try to help others,
and our prayers for those in trouble and need in these fires.
