I thought I might hijack this first5 thread instead of starting another! (Thanks Ella)
New to here, I am interested in giving up my 8cig (8mg cigs) a day habit and swap for vaping, mostly for the smell/taste but also for the other health benefits.
I am posting from Tasmania in Australia (lurking I have seen a few other Aussies on here too which answers one question, can I get this here? I'm guessing yes...well online anyway )

I have to say it sounds WAY more complicated than I first thought...honestly thought you just go and buy the 'pipe' (much like you would buy a '....') from the tobacconist and a vial of liquid and Bob's Your Uncle....After reading about 'building' and 'mods' and a LOT of jargon I'm a bit apprehensive.

I may be here for a while researching before I jump in.... : ( but am eternally grateful that this forum exists and I can get some good info. I had a tobacconist try to tell me the other day that vaping will definitely kill you before cigarettes so that's the level of info here : ( not very helpful!

It's not nearly as complicated as it sounds, honestly... does this face look like it's lying??

You can go to the local shop and purchase a (very) easy to use starter setup along with some juice and Bob will in deed be your Uncle.

Hey mate! For general posts sure, but if you're saying your 1st hello you 100% deserve your own thread with hellos just to you (and hopefully animated gifs) but I understand the shyness.

There's a bunch of aussies on the forum who'll help get you sorted, I can point you towards a few helpful ones once you get 5 posts in. My understanding is that things are a little weird in Australia regarding them, but you can entirely order stuff online if it's in quantities for personal use.

Welcome to you too, mate! I'd also encourage you to make your own thread so more will see it, and you can let us know what you're using to vape and how it's going for you. I can't promise animated gifs, but if it gets bumped enough you'll definitely get cute sparkly mice and such showing up.

To StephaneP:

magma (great atty even if leaky), and other stuff AND at last but not least THE SXMINI BY YIHIE (advised by what i read on this forum).

Yeah, I found the magma to be pretty leaky but others have had decent success. I'm interested in your experiences with the sxmini by yihie as that's one expensive mod, but I have to remind you I'm probably the only person on the site even seeing this thread now.

Highly encourage you make a new thread in the newbie area introducing yourself so more will see your experiences with it.

To others:
Guys help I've been cornered by new members in a backwater thread who all seem really cool but my eggs are burning and they deserve better. Also they may be robots.
