First build... OMG All this vapor!!!

So I received my 454 Big Block RDA and 28g kanthal. The atty came with 4 coils of an unknown wire/wick. I tried to install the coils on the atty for 2 hours but I failed. Last attempt ended up reading 0.3 ohm so I didn't fire it and started building new coils...

Some 2 hours later, I understood why I was told that this atty is NOT noob friendly... I gave up on trying the dual coil setup and just went to a single coil build.

Another hour later, I finally got a build, 6 wraps of 28g kanthal and ended up reading 1.5ohm. I still haven't received my DNA 50 (is on it's way), but I was impatient so I tried this thing on the underpowered MVP2 at the full 11 watts it can give annnddd.....

OMG! This things is already putting out 4 times more vapor than any of my kranger and aspire tank setups.

I'm converted. I hereby accept the dripping religion as my savior... I shall drip from now on.

Don't know if I could have kept going so long so congrat on getting there. Dripping is great for flavour and I suppose clouds too.

Oh yes, the flavor...that too. I'm vaping on this DIY strawberry that barely tasted like strawberry on the tanks. But here, is like I'm taking a bite out of an actual strawberry on every vape.

And this is just my 1st build. I'm sure it's gonna get even better.

Persistence pays off, my friend! I'm super clumsy and building my first few coils on an Omega clone was exasperating. Getting those first delicious clouds of vapor made it all worthwhile, though. Well done...

Update: 3rd Build already! Buahaha

Nothing wrong with the 1st build, but I wanted to try out other things. So I did a dual macro coil and it was OK, but the MVP could not drive it.

I then did a 3rd... a micro coil this time (I think, I'm not sure). Like 10 wraps of 28ga... works like a charm at the max 11 watts of the MVP. Cant wait for the DNA to arrive in the mail.

It reads 1.8 ohms and it's a lot warmer than my first. I also noticed how much flavor and vapor changes by just rotating the barrels and changing the direction of the airflow in respect to the coil. I think my next buy will be a plum veil.

Welcome to the world of dense flavor and clouds. My 2 cents is master that single coil build. Dual coils have their place but dual coils wrapped poorly not so much, no offense. That being said the pic you posted looks to have a nice looking coil on it. Oh one more thought: When your DNA arrives you are likely to make a dual coil and max that sucker out. Who wouldn't? But you may get some really harsh vape depending on your nic level. When I first started dripping no one told me about the difference in TH, especially with higher nic levels. So if you crank it up and it super harsh it might be the nic. Vape on bro.
