First coil! And first dripping expirience!

This past weekend I went and bought a smoktech magneto, igo w and batteries and all the required stuff. Came in today. My first coil I wrapped came out to 2.4 ohms. The 18650's are charging so I just put the igo on my vision spinner 2. Put some five pawns gambit in it and oh my god. Why did I wait so long to get into rebuildables?!

This is some good stuff. My mount bakers cinnamon roll and peanut butter also tase phenomenal. Thanks for all the info from all of you that allowed me to successfully wrap my first coil!

wait until you get into the sub ohm builds and can't see your TV through the fog

Very nice! Now wrap yourself another coil that is as close to exact to the first, clap is on the other side using the same center post and empty neg post, and get that dual coil 1.2ohm rockin'!

Why are the wraps so far apart? and is that cotton?

It's silica. The igow came with a few small lengths if silica and wire so I just used those for now. The wraps are far apart because I just wrapped it by hand around the wick. That's what the directions said and I've seen pbusardo do it that was for a easy basic igo build as well. I wasn't going to get into microcoils and all that for my first build. Plus lung hit wise didn't wanna choke to death on a sub ohm coil.

And yes ill dive into dual coils eventually. My lungs are used to single so I just went with that for now so I can use the other length of wire and wick as a backup or to mess around with.

I just got the dual coil setup so I had room to grow

10-4, I have never used silica just cotton. I am awaiting my first dripper so still new to that. Rock on brother!

I heard silica is pretty good. That's what pretty much all clearomizers use. I'll probably jump to cotton eventually but I don't see the need till my ohms are low enough to warrant wicking issues.
